All back in sites??? really? that seems like BS to me because the Camplex is dedicated to big old 5th wheel type rigs and lots of them! Pull through is the way to go! With 1500+ spaces, really? Only back up spaces????
Sorry - my conspiracy lobe in my brain kicked in - I need to tame it.
Look - this is a location that caters to large numbers of RV campers. To say that an extra number of parkers is needed is just a bunch of bologna to me. How about a per diem rate for attending International.
You there for 3 weeks, pay 3 weeks worth.....

Doing the math - Stop doing the International = $103,000 Saved + save $125,000 promoting it = reduce dues to $20 = 2,000 new members, puts the club on the road to 1970 levels just by stopping the International
Sorry that makes too much cents.

Tim,
Look at the campground maps on the Cam-Plex site, most site back up to another, therefor back in sites.

But you still won't need many of them until the 24th or 25th

Just imagine how parking the participants in the VAC parade will go and how long it will take.

I have full-timing friends that have been working parking committee for ten+ years because of the good deal. If you take that away from them they will not volunteer and instead will hang at a nearby Elk's parking lot for $0.50/day up until opening ceremonies.

Give those full timmers their three weeks for the price of one! They deserve it, they park people ya know. And while you are at it throw in some breakfasts and some luncheons too! They are volunteers you know. But when the people who come for the one official week show up and pay the full fare make sure that the breakfasts and luncheons end. For they are not volunteering anything but their full fare.

That's a VERY weak argument... good deal.. it's called TAKING advantage of the members that are subsidizing that good deal... like I can't park myself... this statement is SO very wrong.. perhaps they shouldn't be VOLUNTEERING... defined as a person who performs a service willingly and without pay..... and without TAKING advantage as the reason they are doing it.... why don't they go hang at Walmart?

Doug, that's way too much thought for the IBT.... must send to committee..... or the 2040 study team...
goes to my "Do International every 5 years" recommendation.... EXCELLENT idea!

The IBT helped me make the final decision. I am not going to international this year.
Last one I attended was 2006 Salem, Oregon and Jim Franklin.
I am on the Alaska caravan this year and was toying with going to Gillette and then on to dawson creek. I was working in Salem in 2006 and Franklin was a pain in the ---. Funny, I cannot remember the issue but, remember the name.
Then to have his comments last week brought back old memories and therefore the international is out. Do you think wbcci would be better off with my $500 or the extra $20 dues? Both are linked as far as I am concerned.
If WBCCI didn't do caravans, I would be out immediately and even with caravans, they are straining my patience.
We are thinking of doing our own trips; Colorado for a summer, Blue ridge & NC mountains for a summer, Washington state/Oregon state, etc.
I have a number of WBCCI friends that I would miss.
Just a few random musings.
