The owners of the Squarestream Tom and Luanne Jones could not have been any nicer or more accommodating.I snapped some pics of both the interior and exterior and the owner is going to send me some digitals under better lighting in a week or so.It's a 1989 model and he is very proud of it.It's in great shape.
There is also a member from England on this caravan.I will try to spend some more time there tomorrow which is the last day of their stay there.
I also had an enjoyable conversation with Past Region 4 President Richard Osborne and his wife Bonnie.Great folks one and all.
What fun! I saw the Squarestream too but the owners were on their way out to dinner so I didn't see much of it. I can't wait to see your photos.

In the hotrod community when a tour is underway the organizers will often let the various groups with interest along the way know approximately when they are coming through. Things happen. Everything from folks lining up along the highway or in driveways to watch, or at overpasses, to hosting BBQ's at lunch and dinner, or pancake breakfasts etc. It allows everyone to meet everyone and get a chance to talk to some "locals", and creates a unique atmosphere to the whole trip.

Perhaps there is some modified way to the above that would be of interest to the various caravaner's along the way, if this isn't already happening. For me to get a chance to watch 34 Airstreams heading down the highway would be a great time. Being #35 would be even better .

I really wish we had known approximately when to be on the alert or even which campgrounds they were considering staying at. We definitely would have been on the look-out and made an effort to visit with them.

The caravan is leaving here this morning. This caravan runs every second year.Dave told me yesterday that the 2009 caravans dates will probably be 1 day later than they were this year.So my guess is that should mean stops in Topsfield MA July 18-July 20,Boothbay ME July 21-July 23 and Ellsworth ME July 24-July 26 2009. If you want exact dates and parking locations as we get closer to the caravan Dave's WBCCI # is 20566 as his email address is in the directory. He is very prompt in responding.

All the numbered caravans are also listed on the WBCCI website and in the back of the Blue Beret.

Thank you! This is great information and I think I will touch base with him just to let him know of our interest.

I wonder if we could meet up with them for a few of one or two of their stays ......hmmmmm.... maybe I should read up on Caravan rules.

Yukionna, have you done a long-term caravan like this? I will check out the website for info and the Blue Beret. Too new to all of this I guess.

Can you tell me why they list all the past caravans in the Membership Directory? Just curious if it was informational for history or if there was a specific reason.

Awesome to see photos! Thank you for sharing! I can imagine there is some real coordinating necessary with 34 rigs.

Can't wait to see the Squarestream photos. We considered a 5th wheel Squarestream once just for the mere fact that they are so hard to find, but never made the trip to see it. Have been real curious to see the differences!

I don't see any information on the return plans. I wonder how we could find out.

Kristine, when I was a child (1960's),the caravan that visited Lunenburg consisted of over 300 rigs some years and there was a caravan visiting there yearly.

I just have one photo of the Squarestream arriving at this point.I will have more in the upcoming weeks.

If one was to go on a numbered caravan, the number of the caravan you go on is listed with your name in the membership directory.
