There are several Mississippians here on the forums. I'm from the Gulf Coast, work in Gulfport & live in Long Beach. There is a Mississippi unit of the WBCCI. Maybe we could have a Mississippi Airforums mini rally!

You can d a member search (see link in column left of Portal Page) using "Mississippi" as the search-defining parameter in the "state" field...it will show you a list of all the members in Mississippi...and you can contact them with a Personal Message is you like... I just idd a search and there are 169 members in the Forums...but not all active members (that is, frequent posters)...

I live in Raymond, Ms and have a 1970,27' Overlander Land in near perfect condition. Only use it during deer season. Wife does not like to camp!!!

I use my '86 Sovereign for deer hunting as well as turkey hunting. My wife is not a big camping fan and on 2 of 3 outings she has gone with me, they ended with electrical problems (on my '77 Excella) and brake/bearing/tire failure on one axle (on the Sovereign). I'm not giving up on trying to get her into it though. Her idea of camping is Holiday Inn I think. This is why I have been on a number of the forum rallies in Georgia and had a fun each time. My wife is also not the type to just go out and meet new people. Me, on the other hand, I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

DavidZ71, My wife likes running out of towels at the Holiday Inn as means to go home! I have given up trying to get her out. She is just not the type. I enjoy a campfire and 1or 2 wiskey drinks for enjoyment along with the stories others have to tell. Maybe someday.............................

overland, There is a Mississipi Unit. It's president is J.V. Prather (His phone #s are 662-263-5161 or 662-210-0458) They have a rally coming up September 18-21 in Lagneaux CG, Lafayette, LA. They had a buddy rally back in July where you could attend without a membership to sort of try things out, but this unit only has the one buddy rally a year so you may be asked to join the unit in order to attend this and future rallies. On the other hand they might welcome you to come in for a day and sort of visit without membership. You'd just need to contact them and see how it goes.

Scott, the same here. My wife would get sea sick every time we went boating & fishing. So, we both wanted a vintage Airstream & we both love Airstreamin'.

There are several 'streamers here in Mississippi, all of the ones I've met or had conversations with have been super people.

We use our Ambassador frequently, averaging slightly over 500 miles a month. The longest trip was 18 days this spring when we covered 4,800 miles out west.

Club? not really our style. We would probably break some rule and get kicked out...
