Meeting agendas 2015 International

Perhaps I have missed it somewhere but I can find no information on the upcoming meetings and what will be voted on.
Is it to early to find this? or am I not looking in the right place?
I have looked under IBT on wbcci.org and also looked on wbcci.net.
I had hoped to have this info for our upcoming unit meeting this weekend as this will be the only meeting prior to the international where the members can discuss any upcoming motions

Rick the information has not been posted yet. In fact the reports for the IBT meeting are not due at the office until May 1st.

Don't worry they will be posted on wbcci.org once we get the information.

I know this isn't going to help you, but we are several months out from the Rally still.

Time for change!!! A NEW policy should be adapted. Information must be submitted 90 days before the IBT meeting and submitted to the regions 60 days before the National meeting.
This would give the regions and states time for input.

Thanks Damon
I guess we are back to "vote your conscience" again, or poll the members by e mail.
I agree with the other poster, changes should be made to get this stuff out 90 days in advance if at all possible. At this point we are at 60 days out
with no info. Unfortunately our unit only meets twice a year.

I know you will get it posted as soon as you have it.

Aren't the Delegates supposed to vote on a proposed constitutional amendment on June 30, 2015?
I'm really new to all the procedural voting, who, what, why and when.

I received a letter from Lori Plumber on March 30th, 2015 that had a proposed constitutional amendment in Section 5.
"Amend the Constitution by Section 5 to be amended by striking the partial sentence of line three, which reads: "unless such vote is to be unanimous" and insert in its place: "except when a request for Unanimous Consent is approved."

Does this get voted on by the members and the Delegates take their vote to International?
I would like to know as we also have a business meeting at a rally this weekend.

All of the long and boring details on how the IBT and Delegates meeting are run can be found in the Blue Book, the rule book of the club.

http://wbcci.org/club-information/blue-book

Start with the Constitution and move to Bylaws.

Constitution change are made by the Delegates (The Units), Bylaws can be changed by the IBT. So yes if there is a Constitutional change it will be voted on by the Delegates.

OK - deep breath here. . .

With respect to amendments to the international constitution, which are voted on at the Delegates Meeting (at the International rally) the WBCCI constitution already requires 90 days notice.

Article XVI, Section 2 of the international constitution says,

"Headquarters shall distribute copies to the Presidents of all chartered Units by April 1 (90 days prior to the Delegates Meeting to which such proposed amendments are to be presented), in order to give units ample time to vote and instruct their Delegates."

What happens after that is up to the unit presidents.

As I recall, in recent years the amendment package that was sent to unit presidents was posted soon thereafter on wbcci.org . Not sure why that hasn't happened this year.

My own unit, Wisconsin, received this years information by April 1 and put it in the April unit newsletter:

http://wisc.wbcci.net/files/2015/04/...r_Bulletin.pdf

Our spring business meeting was last weekend.

There is nothing controversial for the Delegates Meeting this year; no international offices are contested and the one proposed constitutional amendment is only for the purpose of clarifying how the slate of officers can be elected unanimously in the absence of any objection. (Holding a roll call vote for each office is very time consuming.)

Sorry, but the way I read it was that the information to be voted on had to be at the office by May 1 than would be distributed to the units. If the IBT is at National which is about July 1, this only 60 days.
I was commenting on Rick and Damon's comments. Now I see where some units did receive the information by April 1.

You're comparing apples and oranges. If you will read Damon's and my posts carefully you will see that he is referring to the agenda for the IBT meeting and I am referring to the Delegates meeting.

Unit delegates directly represent their units at the Delegates meeting and as I explained in my earlier post, the WBCCI constitution requires that units be informed of matters to be voted on at the Delegates meeting by April 1 so the units can vote on them. It's not a matter of "some units did receive the information by April 1", it's required. That April 1 date is quite important for units such as mine that have their spring business meeting in April. (In the years I have been a unit officer we have been getting the information around the last week in March.)

The International Board of Trustees (IBT) consists of the international executive officers and the region presidents, and only indirectly represents units. Units do not vote on matters before the IBT. The May 1 reporting date does give members time to contact their IBT representative--their region president--to express their opinion. Region presidents often ask their region membership their opinions on various items they expect to see at the IBT meeting. (At least ours have in Region 7.)

I just checked with the central office, they emailed the packet to unit presidents who have emails, and mailed to those without emails. They where send out on March 30.

I have a copy of the packet and will post it on the website soon.

We (NIU) received our packet and voted to approve the candidates and the amendment weekend before last. No contests or controversies this year.
