discussion: what we dont make up budget comes out of the region officers pockets and already does. A balanced budget is nice but like eating an elephant you cant do it all at once, make it up gradually through several years. What about next year if this is a one time stop gap what happenens next year? 25% for int is permanent, for 15% additional is temporary 10 % is permanent correction but point still stands...motion unnecessary key point is balance budget as earlier item, it is one year why chnge the bylaws all you need to do it withdraw this motion and pass budget...It would be good if they all had a copy of the motion...6 years too long for region...ontario says there is a responsibility to pass a balanced budget and undermining club, you have obligation and duty to pass balanced budget perception to step back from the trough...

Parlimentarian: not amending by laws this is policy amendment majority will pass it, the motions are your motion and can change them before they get to the IBT. The reports this does not require a second, which means discussion not someone who agrees, a committee does not require a second or a discussion to take place.

Discussion: the motion calls for one year only and automatically goes back the way it was. The dollar amount drops to 43,000 so $6500 savings...Judy 47,000 to 37,000 difference of $11,000 that was last year...$36,000 reflects 10% and additional 15% also.

yes but not without many comments about the region officers having to make up the difference alone and without majority approval so some grumbling going on there about the International officers not sharing an additional good faith cut and that region officers need and in fact well utilize their funds to meet with region unit members.

The next International in June/July 2011 will be in Du Quoin Illinois.

I had a doctors appt and could not listen past 1pm. Considering a Thor Motorhome, you really have to be kidding......either I'd be outa here, or I'd buy the worst rusted oil spewing old thor motorhome I could find and park it at Int'l ))
honestly, I think this will never happen. Why they bother even trying is beyond me.
That all being said. I'm a member of the Moose, I've picked the brains of local, district and state officers about "ethics committee" not telling them the name of the other club I belonged to. They would NEVER expel a member for his gripes. They told me perhaps foul langauge in a public post, or violence or stealing, but that's it. when members speak up that loudly, Moose International goes to the member to resolve the problem, so I'm told.
There must be people here that are members of other organizations, from the Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus to the Elks that can offer their opinion?
