joining WBCCI and VAC

I recently purchased my first AS. It's going to be a while before I'll be fully traveling in comfort, but hope to get it trailerable by next fall. I live in both southeastern Connecticut and northeastern Florida. Florida is my homestead and where the trailer will be registered. I'm thinking that I should join the unit closest to me in FL? Or can you join two? Once I decide I also will apply for the Vintage Club, since the trailer qualifies, even if I don't ;-P

You may join any unit you wish ... you might want to check them out and "get acquainted" before you decide which one to join. Once you join a WBCCI unit you are eligible to participate in any other WBCCI unit's activities... You can then become an Affiliate member of as many other units as you wish (by paying the unit dues only) as long as you maintain a full membership in a WBCCI unit. For instance, any WBCCI member can become and Affiliate of the 4CUnit by submittng our unit dues...which is only $1/yr. Quite a deal! You remain a full member of your "home" unit. You also have the option of transferring your membership to another unit when it's time to renew.

Hi,

My wife and I also just bought an Airsream. We bought from RV Legends in Waterbury, CT, great people to deal with! We are on the west coast in FL for the Winter returning to Milford, CT in May.

We are deciding what avenue to take also with joining WBCCI. I have been in touch with the Suncoast unit here on the west coast of FL.

There is a rally in Feb. in Sarasota at the fairgrounds. We are going with our AS for the weekend. This will give us a chance to see first hand what the WBCCI is all about, I think it will be a good time. Google it and you may find this would be a good thing for you to do also. If you want to contact me send me a PM.

Bill
