Early July, Springfield MO

The International is in Springfield Missouri between June 28 and July 4.. Should be plenty warm... Side trips to Branson are being arranged, and this year more spaces with electrical hookups to run A/C are planned (average temps in 90's..)

Look at www.wbcci.org for more details... The 2006 Rally is scheduled to be held in Salem Oregon, on left coast...

Couldn't pass up an International Rally that is less than 300 miles from home. If all goes according to plan, I will be participating in the Vintage Airstream Club Wagon Wheels Caravan to the International Rally June 11th through June 26th with the Vintage Parade onto the Rally Grounds on June 27th. I have attended seven of the last eight International Rallys, and this is one that I would have passed on if it weren't for the availability of 30 AMP electrical service to permit use of air conditioners - - the temperatures during the day will likely be in the mid to high 90s with equal or greater humidity.

My first

I wouldn't miss one so close to home and especially with the availability of 30A to power the AC. As I type, my receipt and parking pass is propped against the base of my display. It came a few days ago. Just about everyone from my unit is going. Both the current International President and the Region 9 President are affiliate members of our unit.

If you are in that part of the country, how about attending the Region 9 Rally at Claremore, OK in April. 30A power is also available there. Details and form on my Region 9 website. The rally is at a park adjacent to an Indian casino and will feature some fine entertainment, tours, etc. It is equivalent to the International, but with a lot smaller crowd to contend with.

I wish that I could get away for the Region 9 Rally, but I will still be in Graduate School at Southern Illinois University during the Rally Dates. It is so close - - only about 450 miles, and would make a fantastic season kick-off activity.

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't think to look on the WBCCI website before I posted the question.
I am updating the Top of Georgia Website and didn't see any info about it in our last newsletter.
I don't think we will be going but it sure does sound like it would be a great time. We'll be in Colorado at that time.

Thanks again
