Huron, SD IBT Meeting Streaming 2013

FYI gang.

The Wally Byam Caravan Club International is providing its members with an opportunity to listen live (by streaming audio) to the Board of Trustees Seminar and Meeting.

The Seminar will be broadcast from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m CDT. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. The session usually breaks for lunch from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

The IBT Executive Board will meet on Thursday, June 27, 2013, beginning at 8:15 a.m CDT. To be followed immediately by the International Board of Trustees meeting. There will be a break for lunch from approximately 12 noon to 1 p.m CDT.

Audio for the meetings will be streamed live. A windows Streaming Server is being used. Anyone who wants to listen to the meetings can connect to the audio at http://WBCCI.primcast.com/WBCCI

The feed will begin approximately 10 minutes before the meeting begins. The microphone will be closed during recess and music will be played during this period.

An archive of each of the meetings will be made and posted on the WBCCI Web Site as soon as possible after each of the meetings. Please note, all times are local to rally location in Huron, SD in the (CDT) Central Daylight Time zone.

Thank you for doing this. As a "non-retired" guy, I can't take the two weeks off to attend, but at least I stay in the loop with your help.

Hi, rancher,

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, you are welcome to visit the international rally, meet people, and see lots of Airstream trailers.

An Airstream dealer will be there with a display of new trailers, and the Vintage Airstream Club will hold its Open House from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, June 30.

The rally program booklet can be downloaded from the WBCCI web site,

http://www.wbcci.org/general-informa...m-booklet-2013

Certain meetings and programs are restricted to WBCCI members registered for the rally, but as a rule the public is welcome to come for a visit.

Camping at Huron

We arrived at Huron today as early workers, nice campground, on grass with water and 30 amp. I can see the AT&T cell tower. We are the only ones in Vintage so far.

Save us a spot Teresa! We leave tomorrow morning for the ATW Caravan and will parade in with the VAC...you'll have company soon. Enjoy the solitude while it lasts ~

We will meet everyone in DeSmet for the caravan in. Notice the caution tape, I wonder why they put us next to it
I can't get my 2nd picture of our trailer to show up. This is a picture of the early worker area.

Yeah, it is a nice campground. We had a Region 7 rally there several years ago.

Watch where you step--when we were there the campground was full of gopher holes!

The paid reservations as of April were 312, as recorded on the Jackson Center computer spreadsheet. They always have a few no shows, because of changing health concerns, but they usually pick up some people that come without paying the rally fee up front.

How many early workers are needed to prepare for 312+/- attendees (including themselves)? And how early do they need to be there?

Any Region 4 members who want to go to the Region breakfast will need to arrive early since it is being held on the 24th, which is 2 days BEFORE the rally starts.

I live two hours from Huron. What is the best day and time to look at trailers at any vendors.

Don't you know that all the good stuff happens before the official opening date.

I was actually told that by a wife of former International President. She said that if we wanted to be part of the tours we should volunteer as early workers!!

Maybe the rally should be cancelled and just have the pre-rally functions.

Just a reminder the IBT Seminar will be broadcast from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m CDT. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. The session usually breaks for lunch from 12 noon to 1 p.m. This is only the Seminar where motions and reports are discussed, no votes are taken at this meeting.

If you have issues with the streaming please post here and PM me.

It is true that, in the past, many of the guided tours were sold out prior to the official beginning of the rally. They usually had a standby list and we got to go on some due to last minute cancellations. If we were not able to get on a guided tour, we usually arranged to hit the highlights of them on our own. Being an engineer, I found the manufacturing plant tours the most interesting.
