Got a Letter

Got a form letter from Mother WBCCI, telling me that they are sorry that I didn't renew, that I will be missed and whether I'd reconsider my membership. It has a yes or no checkoff area, along with a comment area. Does anybody know what happens to the comments? Do they forward those to the local unit or do they stay with Mother?

Jack

I got a letter as well. Did not notice the check box, though.

Jack,

That is a good sign, did it include a postage paid envelope?

I got that letter also. I'm still wondering if it's worth my while to send any comments back, or even if I could adequately describe why I dropped out in only a few lines (I might end up filling the back of the page)

No offense, but all the folks in the inner circle would have to do is do a search on WBCCI here on the forum and they'd see plenty.

My take is that you should send it in, but IMHO (and it's just my opinion) that for years you all have tried to change it from within with little luck....my gut tells me your return info will do equal or less than what you've tried to do to date...but send it, especially if it's postage paid already....won't cost you much and you can then say you did everything you could......

We should start our own WBCCI........

Please fill it out and let the mothership know.If not for them,do it for some of your fellow Forum WBCCI members who have decided to stay in the ranks.
I continue to stay positive in the hopes that changes are coming. To see some follow-up from HO on this question would be a step in the right direction.

Hi Steph:

Please send your comments back to HQ in as many pages as you need to fully explain your reasons for not renewing. I imagine they will be read and given strong consideration by the Membership Chair. They are asking for honest opinions so they can increase what's attractive and decrease what's unattractive about the club, its policies and practices. As a renewing WBCCI member, I would greatly appreciate you and Jack, and other nonrenewers as well, sharing your reasons with HQ staff. I imagine these reasons will bubble up to the top, but first you gotta start below with some hearty carboination.

We remaining WBCCI members thank you, Jack, and all other nonrenewers for taking the time to share your thoughts and reasons with HQ.

WOW - whats REALLY amazing are the folks on this list that are getting these letters - these folks were/are very active with their Airstreams and are now not renewing. Thats really sad to me.

BTW - I got a letter too, and would have not renewed either unless the FCU got ok'd. Now I'm re-joing with the FCU - not happy about the $55 to the WBCCI, but thats next on the list as far as I'm concerned - for now I look at it as a cheap insurance policy for rallies - - - - - - and - - - - - - - - and - - - - - what a great magazine you get

I looked into starting a new club - its an somewhat costly to set up, so figured it would be much easier to start a new unit, which it was. I would encourage others to start new units rather than a new club.

As a WBCCI member who is also frustrated with the current affairs of the organization, I did renew my membership in order that I can make a difference. For those of you who opted not to renew your memberships I have no bad or ill feelings and we are all still friends as many of you know. Being a member, not a member, or unwilling to renew your membership has no bearing here on this forum. BUT, if you have decided not to renew PLEASE do take a moment and fill out the reply. When filling it out please be courtious and polite but to the point on your reasons what ever they are for leaving. Or if you decide to renew please let me know. My plan is to run for Region One VP. I beleive the only way to make a postive change is to be part of the solution. So, please do fill out the surveys and mail in ASAP.
Thank you- Rick
