Which, it you stay the entire 10 or so days, is $23.50 a night. Actually, pretty reasonable for the experience. If you arrive earlier as part of a caravan or an "Early Worker" the per diem is even less ~

3 amp electric is included, 30 amp is optional. Water & emptying of the tanks, is included as are all the seminars, displays, entertainment and socializing you want to participate in. There are usually group "side trips" planned that you can chose to particiapte in (Tours, Wine Tasting, Raft Trips, ???) or not and these may carry additional fees. Most Units and Regions also have luncheons, dinners, picnics or happy hours that are part of the event as well. Some of the meals either may cost extra or be potluck.

Can someone do a walk in? I would love to visit and see all the trailers and such, but probably would not want to stay overnight.
As for the Georgia unit, my experiences with them are only on the negative side. At the Rally I attended I ran into stiff, rules reading folks who cared little for our kids and dog and made us feel like we were from another planet.
I would NEVER attend one of their events again.
In my 8 Forum rally's I have never had a bad time or felt uncomfortable with new people.
Chaplain Kent tried TOG a few months back, he could tolerate very little of the 'structure' they present there.

At the 2006 International they offered day passes at $10 per day to vistiors. This allowed you in the buildings and on the grounds for a particular day.

There wasn't anybody "taking tickets", so to speak, at the VT rally that we went to. we just waltzed in and wandered around. The most official-looking people we could find couldn't tell us anything about anything. no one knew where anything was, when anything was, or even what day it was. (or so it seemed). Communication seems to be a really big problem amongst the organizers.
The printed schedules were obviously done at a professional print house. Someone had to gather and organize this information WEEKS in advance of the event. Yet no one knew what any of it was. It was the best kept secret since they broke the enigma codes in WWII. I even called wbcci headquarters the week before the event..you know, so I could pick the best day to go, based on what was happening. (I could only spend a couple of days). They had no idea, either...I think they were barely aware that there was even a rally taking place.
others have reported the exact same experience from other i-rallies.
I think they're really blowing a huge opportunity to promote the club and encourage new membership.

There was this year...every year is slightly different depending on the venue. Even some attendees I know were sent back for their badges to get into meetings & events.

This also has changed since the Vermont Rally. The schedule was online at the WBCCI website weeks BEFORE the rally began...I (and others) even posted a link(s) on the forums here. "We" requested a change (making the schedule available beforehand) and "they" did. I know it's small...but it is progress in the right direction.

thanks, I would love to walk around and a 10 dollar fee plus maybe parking fee is terrific. Most things now are so much more. It would be great to see an AirstreamForums area, or some place or event where folks from this site could meet at a specific time.
We started here with 5 or so enthusiastic Airstreamin' aluminumitis addicted people, and now it is hard to remember what that was like just a few yrs ago. It would be a treat to meet those who are so eager to help with anyone's AS problems and questions.
