Exterior numbers (4 digits above rear window)

What do these numbers represent, and if mine is missing how can I find out what it use to be so I can restore it?

Those numbers are assigned to members of the WBCCI and are not assigned to trailers. If you join the club you will be assigned a 4 or 5 digit number which you can put on your trailer if you wish. More information can be found at WBCCI.org
