I always trust people in tutus. It's just hard not to.

You all should come to Burningman for tutu Tuesday.

That is a custom made tutu BTW - hand made in Moldova, Russia. Fits perfectly.

Ed - it IS deep, isn't it.

I think there should be a mock burning man at the BD bash actually.

UM WELL

I was thinking more along the lines of burning something in effigy, with clothes. maybe even with headwear and formal attire, not singeing my eyeballs out of their sockets! Just kidding. I have snuck a peek now and then at some burning man footage...and some other parts as well.

Come on, everybody! It's just a piece of clothing. Some fabric, elastic and trim. We wear those 3 items every day! It's nothing!!!!!

I think the only thing being burnt are some logs in the campfire. Burning Man has it's place and the Bash has it's. Neither are related or even remotely similar. If you want to burn an effigy, I suggest you head West, if you want to burn some marshmallow, well East would be the direction you want to head.

well you know what they say, out of the ashes the phoenix is born! The new Birthday Bash in contrast to the old International rally is a new beginning and so many are saying good-bye to WBCCI.

Yes, yes, back on track, the Birthday Bash will be just right for adults and children alike. I was just poking a bit of fun. I'll behave. I think marshmallows might be the better fit for this gal, anyway.

Speaking of wild abandonment it's Mardis Gras (in the East)!!!

But it's the same old story, too. The Birthday Bash that the leaders are planning is located too far from a central area where more could attend. And it's smack in the middle of the wrong season, so people won't go. And only two days of the event are on a weekend, so those who work miss out on most of the fun. Does any of this sound familiar?

How would you propose they get more than two days of the event into a weekend?

To be fair isn't the BDBash being held at Rob's residence? It isn't like someone contracted to hold an event for all the country to attend, albeit many are traveling from afar to be there! I don't think it's a fair representation to compare the failings of WBCCI International with the particulars and limits of someone opening up their home to alot of Airstreamers in the spirit of gathering together.

Lynn you plan the next one. No need to wait until the next year...Let's go to your place. And perhaps that is how hosting evolves and rotates in locality...

No doubt Pahaska will have us another time...

Rob & Company,

I think what Lynn is really saying here is that he is going to quickly step up to hosting a Pacific / Rocky Mountain / Southwestern edition of the Bash, and that it will run concurrently with your Adirondack event, and avoid all the common pitfalls that go along with the timing, location, and logistics, etc. that goes along with holding such an event, and with which he takes exception to your planning and execution!

Ditto most of the other comments by others preceding this one....

Best,

No, I'm not saying anything of the stort about hosting anything. It's just that I recognized the same sorts of things with this rally as I've seen as complaints about WBCCI rallies. End of observation.
