Bought used AS, can I keep/use the existing numbers?

OK, we just bought a 2015 Bambi Sport 16 from a private party, and the numbers on the unit (13920) are applied straight and look good. I don't want to risk taking those off and trying to apply new ones if I were to join the WBCCI.

Can I keep those numbers as my own, i.e. have those numbers transferred from previous owners to me? Thanks all!

You can have those numbers transferred if the previous owner has not reused them on his new trailer. If they are used you could get a number that is close such as 13928. Also it is your trailer so you can leave the number on even if you don't join the WBCCI

The numbers go with the club membership. So you might be able to get them if the previous owner gave up his membership. Otherwise when you join you will have to accept a different number. I expect you can contact the staff at headquarters and find out the status of the numbers in question.

True. But doing so could cause some confusion if a current WBCCI member has the same number on another trailer. But the current member will be the one bothered by it, when people he knows call him up and say, "Didn't I just see you at X campground?" (where you were) when he was actually clear across the country in his new trailer.

Just call Headquarters and go from there.

I requested my uncles several years after he passed. If a number is not used you can request it.
