Perhaps Mr. Larson wishes to inhibit that right.

Since Leo's charges were based on what he allegedly posted on the Internet. Jim Franklin may file a grievance if he thinks your violating the ethics in what you post.

Jerry should make it clear that any post will not be used to file any sort of a complaint against the poster.
Bob,

If you are uncomfortable it is an easy thing to just keep using your avatar.

I come from a different school of thought than you - I would prefer to know who I'm engaging with.

If I am posting in a civil and mature manner, adding value to the threads in a mostly positive and constructive manner, and for that I am challenged and punted from the club do I really want to be a part of that club anyway? Not a chance.

You post some good stuff. It is unfortunate that you feel you can't do this openly.

Jerry is trying to engage in the dialog on the Forum. It is encouraging to see. I'd like to see that continue. I would be very disappointed if he disengaged because every time he came on he was taken to task and unable to provide the valuable information he is privy to. He, like I, would appreciate knowing who he is engaging with. I can't see anyone posting anything out of line on this thread, particularly given the specific purpose of the thread and the expectations of the thread initiator. So far it has remained pretty much focused on trying to move change initiatives forward. For those of you who are WBCCI members it would be beneficial for you to join the thread, read it, and participate if you are willing.

Barry

Why Does IBT want your full name, WBCCI number?

Well, golly. What is the title of this thread?

Yeah, this thread has pretty much meandered all over the road, part of it my fault, too.

Lynn,

I think Foiled's finely distilled, vintage sarcasm went right over your head. Go back to her post again and read what she said.

Hey, I'm supposed to catch nuances when I'm low on nicotine (quit three months ago, but still ...) and caffeine?

Jerries newsletter

see

ACTIONS COMPLETED...
• On August 26, 2008 on behalf of the
International Executive Committee, I published
and distributed, “Presidents Comments on
WBCCI & Grievances” to the same individuals
for this ‘Review’. It was also posted on the
Club’s Web Site; Forums; 2020 Committee. It
was encouraging to see our Members providing
positive recommendations, comments, and facts
after this posting. What is unbelievable and
shocking are the unprovoked attacks on these
members by a very minority number of
Members. Is it no wonder our Members,
especially Club officers, are reluctant to make
comments on the forums?
• The International Executive Committee held a
meeting as a requirement of Article V in the
WBCCI Bylaws. A few WBCCI members have
asked me to overturn a decision of this
Executive Committee Meeting which would
violate the WBCCI Constitution and Bylaws
just because of a decision they did not like, even
to the point of threats and boycotts. My hope is
that in my next month’s ‘Review’ there will be a
positive outcome of this pending issue.

Gosh there is an unbelieavable and shocking amount of unprovoked attacks. It sounds like the same we have been hearing since the name change issue to the exact word. They have that memorized don't they? "A very minority" would that be the same vocal minority that did not want a name change or sobs in the club and now Bob and Leo exonerated? You know the ones that are only quantity and should be eliminated. But that doesn't sound harsh now does it? it's like forshadowing in Mac Beth something spooky feels like its going to happen.

I guess not renewing or attending the International is to the point of threats and boycotts. It sure sounds much more dramatic and malevolent when the IP speaks of protestors though, doesn't it? As is you did not have a right to criticize how well they perform their duties on your behalf and enlist and retain members or get the club back into the green. All of a sudden the goal is over 1500 Airstreams at the International? It's been dropping every year but they are thinking it might change? Why? Maybe that's how many they need to pay for what they will definitely be spending whether the members come or not, so that's a good way to choose a number to make a goal.

Honestly I have read no such attacks in those recent threads, have you? But it certainly sets the stage for heads to roll should they need to discipline any further. Bite your tongues, and be wary. Tread lightly for they carry a big stick. Gotta love 'em, who the heck else would you want to represent your interests in a fun club? Bless their hearts they have earned it. Ah to spend time in the golden years...silence is golden.

Any suspicions about his motives aside, those with smallish children are often quite reluctant to reveal any information which may potentially assist a predator.
Like names and a way to track back to addresses.

The name thing is a non-starter.

WBCCI Is Worthless

Hello, the WBBCI and its management is worthless. An organization that chooses to take action against an individual who is simply exercising his First Amendment Right does not deserve to be in existance. The entire management structure needs to be purged of the brain dead individuals who choose to take action against a member who proffers facts they do not want or like to hear. These are exactly the type of people who should not be in any way involved in the management of any organization.
