Just got the Blue Beret and read the "tip" on one of the pages about making your campfire more colorful. Says to cram a piece of garden hose into a piece of copper tubing and set it on the coals until mulitcolor flame start coming out.
Maybe next month they'll suggest creative ways to fire up the old bong while sitting around the campfire. I'm already looking forward to the next rally.

Old news for us. Zamboni introduced us to this last June at the Midwest Forms rally. We're doing it again at Saturday night's campfire. He's got his hose and copper pipe with him.

It has something to go with the reaction of the gasses produced by the melting/burning hose reacting with the copper pipe.
We did an unscientific test at a rally with ones I made and the only way to make it work was to stuff the hose in the pipe. I have drilled additional holes in the pipe, but that was the way the one I was shown was made.
