WBCCI numbers also go with the owner, not the trailer. I've heard of some units installing numbers for members at meetings. This was years ago, though.

There is 2" space between the numbers on my trailer, but my 1811 takes less space than your 4850. I guess a 1 takes less space than a 4, 5, or 0.
My number starts more to the right of the first R in Airstream and ends more to the left of the second A in Airstream.
The narrower letters take up less space and have bigger space between them.
The font and size appear to be spot on.
Attaboy on the application of the big red numbers!

Don't know. I just ordered "Airstream" numbers from Squire Designs. They decided.

"Olde" School - We would Still Have to Cut Them

Sorry, the single sheet is a very nice idea, but it just wouldn't work on a 1955 13 panel. We would still have to cut them and strategically place them between the panels.

It's not purist, but you could consider putting them on the front and back windows rather than the aluminum. A lot of owners do this to avoid the Ghost Number effect. many only put up their numbers at a campsite or rendezvous and thus have them on a clear plastic panel.

And, that is how the numbers we received this week are configured ... just like the pic above. They are pre-spaced on a pull off sheet making for a much easier installation! Thanks WBAC

It was so dang hard to get to the area above my windshield till I took the advice of another AS motorhome owner and put them inside the windshield on a sheet of clear plastic from a frame shop.

I get questioned about the red numbers all the time from other RV owners. Once had a woman in a pop up camper (traveling with 2 dogs and a goat) ask me what they were for and how could she get some?? She thought it was something special from AAA.......told her to rush down to the nearest Airstream Dealer and trade in that pop-up and they would gladly assist her with a WBCCI membership and decals...hahaha!!!

So did you have to order the numbers in some special way or did them automatically come like this?

Thanks!

Mine came as individual numbers and were very hard to get the curves straight and air bubbles out.

When I was trying to get the numbers produced in a sheet so the spacing would be correct, I called the club to ask for the font and color. They could not give me either. Therefore, get a font that is close and no one will complain. I went through a book of hundreds of fonts that the sign maker had and nothing I saw was exact. I ended up putting the numbers on a clear sheet of plexiglas that I velcro to the front and rear window so I can take them down for travel. I was afraid to put them directly on the aluminum for several reasons. Works great and we are identified when we camp.

This is the solution we've found to be easy to install and not cause any issues with UV (shadowing), corrosion, removal, etc. This is the second set on that A/S. Our new A/S has the same scheme.

These were produced at a local sign shop. I took the WBCCI numbers with me so they could match the size and font as close as possible. They even matched the 5-year stars for us. Inexpensive and no problem to install and remove.

BTW: The rear numbers are on the window with the same 'silver/grey backing and red numbers'.

I ordered a set from Squier Design. Very fast turnaround time. All numbers on a single sheet.

I compared his font to the numbers WBCCI sent me. They were all a little different. Then I looked at the other info WBCCI sent with the numbers. Some matched Squier, some matched WBCCI.

So I’ve concluded that there is no “standard” font. Whoever WBCCI uses as a number supplier has either changed over time or they changed the fonts.
