AreThere Different Wbcci Chapters In Each Region????
HI been reading through alot of threads on WBCCI and have been thinking on joining. But if I'm reading this right, in order for me to attend a meeting in region 10, I half to go to Oragon. What I would like to know is if there are sepperate chapters in each state that you can join. For instance I live in Montana is there a easter chapter central western so on and so on, can some one please fill me in thanks..
if you go to the wbcci website www.wbcci.org and click on regions - you will see alist of units in region 10. There are several listed including one in Montana. You could also look at the region 10 website for links to some units and contact info for all of them http://www.wbcci10.org/

What if the Hokey-Pokey is really what it's all about?
davidh i attended several rallies with the Montana folks when I was a member of the Alberta-Saskatchewan Unit. This was 10 years ago but they were a fun and friendly group.Montana is a beautiful state and one of my favorites.
Hello all: Sherry and I were camping in San Diego County last weekend at Guajome Park. Great park and met the San Diego Airstream Chapter by coincidence. Great group of people, and thanks to Heather (if you read this) for the very warm welcome.
Question: If we join as a "member at large", can we still participate is local unit events with their permission? If we decide to join both as a member at large and a local unit, can we participate in an event other than an event sponsored by the local unit? For example, in So. Cal. there is the San Diego Chapter which just went to the park noted above, and in Feb another local unit is going to the same park.

Thanks, Robert and Sherry
I would say the answer to all your questions is YES.Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.I cannot see why any unit would turn away a member at large to one of their activities as long as they know you are coming and you pay your share of the rally costs like everyone else.
Had a brief correspondense with a member of the San Diego Unit yesterday and was also impressed with their website.
With the MAL type of membership you can participate in any WBCCI event - however you will not have a vote when it comes time to vote on WBCCI matters.
With a Unit Membership - you are then given VOTING status - but you can still participate in any WBCCI event - no matter what the Unit.
Thus the only difference is Voting rights and a slightly higher fee - as you will pay a Unit fee on top of the WBCCI fee.
Hope this helps.

Mike: Do you have the link to the San Diego Membership website? I was told by Heather, the unit membership director, the website address had changed to sandiegoairstream.com, but that doesn't work.
