Bob, I really think, IMHO, you need to reread what you have written before you hit "submit reply". (Let it be noted that you can't say what you are referring to in post #68.)

Be passionate, but be clear.

Maggie

ooo ooo ooo let me. I am good at questions?

What was Collier's e-mail? Only a handful of what opted out of where?

Why didn't any IBT opt out? The fact that no IBT opted out is that what sends out the message and what is that message?

Can I be honey instead of darling?

Ok Honey,

I can't publish Colliers email.

A handful opted out (of 3800) of the first Defend Wally news letter,
they will not get another so they will remain with their heads in sand.

The fact the IBT folks didn't is they are concerned about the lawsuit and wish to be informed I suppose.

Thanks sweetie.
Are you at liberty to say if there is an update e-mail coming our way... to those that want to remain informed? Or should I address that inquiry to Howie?

I don't know if more refernces to the suit or Leo's grievance process will be made by the IP. But I have heard that there have been several units to include the information in their unit newsletter. Kudos to those units that keep their members informed of club business!! I hope each unit encourages each member and other units to follow the initiatives and course of leadership and get involved. I can understand some of the apathy. Elections are a sham with ability only to vote for an unchallenged slate of selected candidates. Purely an exercise in futility and busy work. Lots of busy work and crossing t's and dotting i's in this organization that leads countless officers and committee volunteers to travel extensively to perform their duties and remain onsite indefinitely. How about that International intake line? What is it, 30 people, as you make your way through payment, duct tape, ribbon, bell, etc.? It is no wonder that business was nothing of concern to many, who long ago decided there was no new business to follow...and got right back to their love of all things Airstream! Let's put Wally back on the map and step away from those "leaders" and those notions of SOBs in the club to grab more revenue to fund their International "all about friends" tour.

A new newsletter ( member to member) is in the works, yes.

We found case law where the out come of an election can be challenged.

Some unit officers secret many things from their members.

that's why this newsletter is sooo important, it allows us mere members the opportunity to be informed.

About 2/3rds of the members were emailed in the last one.

An over site was that no one signed the first one.

The new one will be signed by at least one unit and several members

I am somewhat confused - I did not know this forum was for complaining about other organizations. I was curious about the title of this thread - At one time I was thinking about joining the WBCCI. I decided not to (for now) after reading what others had to say (here in this forum) and after contacting the Oklahoma Unit. They were not ready for me since I was still working (lol). But I did notice that in this thread alone - Of the supposly 1,000's of members there are only 24 different people joining in and alot of the comments were directed against 1 person that decided to take a different look at the information presented. I am not going to name names but it seems to me, that some of you are doing exactly what you are complaining about. The WBCCI international group trying to quiet anyone that thinks differently than them. Also, if I was part of a group that had my e-mail address for club contact information and someone from the club contacted me for a non-approved soiltation of money (if I get all this correct) it would let management know and if it was not corrected it would be good by club and change my e-mail address. Just my view of it all. Please don't contact me about this - just voicing my opinion.

I see from you Airforums # you are fairly new to the forum and may not have yet realized the scope of this Forum.

There are over 41,000 members here made up of several different groups that all have the common denominator of Airstream ownership. The fact that this thread is addressing issues with in the WBCCI is just one of the many groups that make up the Airforums. If you look at other threads you will see discussion about the VAC, the Silversisters, and a newer group the TAC. Fortunately those other groups all appear to be satisfied with the origination and leadership of their group. Once the current problems within the WBCCI are corrected I suspect the treads posted here with respect to the WBCCI will take another direction.

As for your limited exposure on selecting a unit to join was not appealing to you I would suggest you look again. There are units that do welcome individuals that are still working. My unit WDCU is mostly working stiffs.

Mwells4654,

WBCCI Units are like shoes. Some fit you better than others. Go shopping by attending different unit rally's and you'll find the one that fit you.

We don't remember exactly, but to break even the count needs to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1100-1200 rigs.
