Another WBCCI Number Question

I've decided to join the the WBCCI chapter here and would like to keep the existing red number if possible. Is there a resource to check and see if 3590 is available?
Thanks,
Todd

Just call up the WBCCI mother ship and ask them if the number is still available. We were in the same situation: The number turned out to be currently unused, so we got it (and the Airstream got it back).

Todd,

Welcome to the forums, and welcome to the WBCCI! I hope you enjoy it as much as my wife and I have--we were hooked after our first rally.

But I'm afraid you'll have to change numbers. According to the 2009 membership directory, 3590 is currently in use.

See you down the road,
Nuvi

The original number on my 71 was 21212. Cool number and it was taken. But 12121 was not taken, so I got it. The WBCCI policy is the number follows the member, not the trailer.

Thanks for the replies. I intend on polishing the exterior within the next year or two. Is it acceptable to leave the existing numbers in place until that time?

Sure, people do it all the time. We had the old numbers on our Pacer for a couple of rallies. The only problem might be if you went to a really big rally like the International or the Florida State Rally where they want you to display your correct number so they can find you!

See you down the road,
Nuvi

I want to research a number on an old Airstream. Where can I do that?
Thanks,
Bizcamp
