You can get information about the Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) at http://www.wbcci.org/ . It's the club specifically for Airstreamers that's been around for decades. The club is organized by regions and units within regions, though you may join an unit you wish. Membership in any unit gives you access to any unit's activities across the country (and beyond). PM me if you'd like more information on WBCCI or have specific questions.

There is also information on both WBCCI and non-WBCCI rallies and gatherings on the Airforums' rally schedule. Go to the bottom of the Portal Page.

And welcome aboard! Now the fun begins!

Welcome to the AirForums! Glad to have you with us!

As for travel clubs, Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) is the "official" Airstream club. But exactly what makes it official, and the others unofficial, I really don't know. Other than the fact that the club's clerical staff is based in Jackson Center. Anyway, there are WBCCI units located not too far from where you live, but you don't have to limit yourself to the nearby Units. WBCCI does rallies and caravans at all club levels, Unit, Region, and International, all year 'round, all over North America and beyond.

There is an AirForums rally next month at Lake Claiborne State Park, Homer, LA. Check out the "Two Weeks from Anywhere" rally here on the Forums. Not too many of us have RSVPed yet— but it's still almost a month away— so I'm sure there will be room for you if you care to make the trip.

WBCCI s the official club because t was formed with the approval of Wally and AS! Air forums is not a club but serves a purpose for info and conversation. Jim

Within WBCCI there are many intraclubs with unifying interests as well as regional "units". VAC (vintage Airstream Club) is mostly into 25 year or older trailers and therefore is not a "travel" club but does have rallies. The local units do more rallying than traveling. There are local and national caravans that members participate in. They usually have a theme or specific area they explore. There are international travel caravans as well, but people usually rent locally, rather than ship their personal trailers over there.

There are other travel clubs such as Good Sam, Escapees and others which also have tours that are professionally run and may cost more per day, but you are not expected to do any "work" yourself. Some are very nice.
