Club Airstream

Danielle and I are putting together and evening of DJ dance music on Thursday July 27th at the International. Be sure to check out Club Airstream and tell all your friends. Put on your dancing shoes and come on over for a fun night of DJ dance music after the regular evening announcements and such. The auditorium will be divided into two (or more?) sections - one for the large evening programs and a smaller side for events such as Club Airstream.

2017 WBCCI International Rally - Escanaba, MI

We received our parking date from WBCCI and its scheduled on 7/15, which is a full week before the rally starts. I called the office in JC for clarification and got a VM and no call back. Any idea if this is a correct date?

We have received similar early parking dates for prior rallies. My recollection is that it's not necessary to arrive on that day. The parking crew will likely not want you to arrive earlier but I think it's okay to arrive later. We arrived at the rally later than our "date" and did not have a problem.

If you want to park near a friend be sure to arrive at the same time or wait for them in the "bull pen" parking area.

Our parking is for the 18th. I suspect yours is the correct date. Sounds like they are trying to spread the incoming over a few days.

Some of this is answered in the Rally FAQ and first timers info.

http://wbcci.org/component/jdownload...rst-timer-tips

2. I’d like to come early to the Rally –
Often, other members may have the same idea, so it is wise to have reservations at local campgrounds to avoid disappointment. Your rally receipt will have your arrival date. You can come on or after your arrival date.

Getting 600+ rigs parked on the fairground im Escanaba is going to be a challenge. Having people come in a few days earlier will even the flow of rigs and help the parking team. It would help if you could arrive on your date, but not everyone will be able to do that. Arriving a few days early will give you the opportunity to make some new friends and explore the local area.

Travel safe and we will see you in Escanaba!

As a native of the UP, (Hancock), I think it is great. The fairgrounds were always kept up and is a great space. There is a lot to see in the UP. Take a trip up the Peninsula to Copper Harbor along US 41. It is one of the most scenic in the Midwest. I cannot make the rally but do plan on being up there in the end of June. I believe the rally will be good. Youse guys enjoy EH!

Thanks, Richard, for putting it together. Susan and I look forward to visiting the area.

We passed through Escanba summer of 2015 and loved the town. We missed a turn and went right by the fairgrounds.

You betcha, gonna be great.

Yes, we are here 2 months before the rally, but we are just stopping by for a short visit. We were in Ohio and drove up for a presentation to the city merchants by the chamber of commerce. We will be gone on Tuesday until July. We did get to meet with several of the businesses that we have hired to do meals and other services. It is a great place to visit. The rally is definitely coming together..

Kayakers: If you're coming a few days early and bringing your boat(s) and would like to join us on an unofficial excursion up to Paradise Point on Lake Superior (about 1.25 hours from Escanaba) please reply and we'll see if we can put a group together.

The shoreline there is amazing but is best suited to more experienced paddlers. Of course weather determines every activity on the Big Lake, so flexibility and a commitment to safety is essential.

I don't have a particular day in mind so we can plan around when folks are available...

And we from Micro-Air will be there as well, exhibiting in the booth right next to Lewster! We'll be conducting seminars on EasyStart to support him. We're also working together to have a demonstration of a Dometic rooftop A/C, fitted with an EasyStart, starting and running on one of Lewster's 2000W inverters.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

This is one of the great things about the USA, two independent and small companies/professionals, working together to bring great products to market!!! Bravo Zulu to both of you!

Will you be doing installs for folks that buy during the rally?

Matteo,

Looks like our humble beginning has led to something bigger for you. Still loving my EasyStart.

Having been to a different rally, Vintage Academy, and getting to hear these presenters give their presentations and have them answer questions is incredible.

Learned so much and you get to put a face to a name.

Sounds like it will be a great International.

That is the plan. Micro-Air owner, Andy, will be there too. He'll man the booths while Lew and I are probably running all over the place
