don't you think due to the large audience it would be better as the evenings entertainment?

Entertainment Set?

I think the WBCCI has set the entertainment for the rally but I could be wrong. I still think it would be a great VAC event at the International.

Ed, I know you are not one to "rock the boat" or "ruffle any feathers" but I am quickly getting the impression that the best way to get the club we want is to just do what is necessary to have a good time. That's what my WDCU buddies do and it makes for a great get-together. When you make your own fun you and the folks around you are guaranteed to have a good time.

I think the TPT would be perfect VAC entertainment.

Checking with the Troubadours

We have seen Antsy and Troubs perform and they are a bunch of fun! Even though the evening entertainment is already planned for the rally maybe we can pull off a happy hour or something with the band or a small contingent of the band. I'll send them an email to see if something can be worked out.

I looked into having them perform at a rally here in Colorado...it was too expensive for our budget, as I recall it was about $5K.

LOVE them though!!!

Antsy and Troubs are Interested!

I suspect it would cost some big $$ since there are travel expenses etc.

I received a reply from Antsy and he is interested in doing a show. He suggested we start planning now so there would be a chance of sharing expenses with other dates/locations they may be able to put together.

Any ideas? A happy hour with VAC? A night club in Madison? Comments are appreciated.

Crazy Idea?

Okay... here's a crazy idea.

What if several of the WBCCI units that are operating in the 21st century (WDCU, FCU, Metro NY to name a few) pooled their resources to bring Antsy and the Troubs to Madison? I think we could make it work.

Comments?

Lucius,

Possible, but we need more details to comment. Shari suggested a figuire of $5K... is that the price tag we are working with?

More Details to Come...

I will be contacting the booking agent this week and will provide more details when information becomes available.

The $$ will depend on how many band members are performing and if other dates can be arranged in the area.

More to come...

WBCCI President Wants to Know Details!

I received a reply from Jerry Larson, WBCCI President, and he is interested in knowing more about Antsy and the Troubs. Maybe there is a chance we can have a performance of some sort at the International in Madison! I'll keep you posted.

Lucius,

My wife and I saw Antsy this last weekend in Riverside, CA along with a couple of El Camino Real members. All you So Cal folks who did not attend missed a great show.

Im thinking about attending..not sure if the 31'er is coming or not...BUT, if any of you were thinking about attending and NOT parking at the sight you could bring the AS out here and drop it for the week (and camp of course!) . We have about 2.5 acres 40 mins north of Madison. All the neighbors are Amish, and we are surrounded by corn fields... If any of you would be interested let me know...Ill make plans to have it all ready for you!

The VAC

The VAC is looking for a parking area to parade into the rally, 40 min. is a bit far, do you know where a group of 70 can park for a night near Madison?
