Hi PeeWee. This image is underexposed and has too much compression (pixellated). It might need a re-scan at higher resolution. The Forums takes 600x800 pixel images without any problem at all.

Are you scanning a metal tag or actually photographing it. It might need some in-computer exposure compensation.

I appreciate all you're putting up for us to see and your working with sierranevadaairstreams to commit this to posterity. Karma to you my good man!

This is a scan. And it is saturated. It should be lighter, but the writing imprints become vague.

From what I can tell, that style badge came out in around 1949 and by 1953 production had moved to Norwalk and Jackson Center. I can not find any trailers of that era that started with the number 4.

What did it come off of?
