I went to the International 2004 CCD trailer database to look up some historical threads from 2004 and only 3 recent ones showed. I know they still exist somewhere because I searched my personal threads and could get to the ones I participated in. How do I see all these threads from years past?

Good morning -- Should still be there ... hmm? Some subject threads, such as polishing, have been merged because they are quite repetitive. That shouldn't be the case with CCD threads though. I suspect much of the answer is that some threads are not always started in a subforum you would assume. You started this thread in the 2004 International CCD subforum -- I also checked 2003 & 2005 -- not many in there! I see what you mean.

There have been multiple new subforums opened; eg Running Gear was broken into three -- wheels/tires, brakes & axles. That wouldn't seem to explain your problem. Additional subforums may not be populated yet -- they have to be manually moved.

In the meantime you can search quite effectively if you use advanced search and happen to recall the username of anyone who posted in a thread -- they don't even have to have written any keywords you used. I just did an advanced search on 'CCD' appearing in the title only and got 217 returns. Let me see if I can find anything out...

Aha! http://www.airforums.com/forums/f211/ does show 47, 34, 28 & 40 threads in the 2005, 2004, 2003 & 2002 CCD subforums. Something is up... or down. I'll be ba-a-aack.

I have also noticed the amazing disappearing threads.
I started a post a few weeks back about obtaining service in my area.
Had some positive feed back to post after the service was done, now the thread is gone?!

Bill, you could also have clicked on your avatar to open your public profile, then clicked 'Find all threads started by BillTex.'

The subject of this thread is that when one goes beyond displaying 'One Year' (ie, back to the beginning), the display defaults to '10 days' and doesn't show all the threads in any of the subforums. I'm looking for an answer -- suspect it'll come from the admin operators.

Try this, go to:

>'UserCP' (top blue bar)
>'Edit Options' (left section)
>'Thread Display Options' (scroll down)
>'Default Thread Age Cut-Off'
>Set to 'Show all threads'

That should fix it...possibly the default (at the server level) got changed, but I don't believe it has anything to do with the creation of the new sub-forums.

So Bob ... did Shari's suggestion solve your problem? I was changing settings in my control panel over the weekend while helping a member. She solved my problem exactly!
