| 2004 International CCD 25C
My wife and I bought a 2004 International CCD 25C on July 10, 2003, from the A/S Dealer in Lithia Springs, Georgia, which is just outside of Atlanta (exit 44 off I-20). This is a new dealership, and has only been handling A/S for a month. They are Atlanta Auto Brokers, and their main business is selling cars. They appear serious about getting into the A/S market. They had 5 trailers on the lot the day we bought ours. They had a Bambi, two 25 foot Safaris, a 28 foot International CCD and the 25C International CCD that we bought. We knew A/S made a 22 foot and the 28 foot International CCD, but we surprised to find the 25 foot International CCD. We did not know A/S made a 25 foot International CCD. My truck is a Toyota Tundra V8 with a max towing capacity of 7100 lbs. The 28 foot International CCD was 7200 lbs GVWR, while the 25C was 6300 lbs GVWR. I pulled the 25C to Tallahassee, Florida from Atlanta with no problem other than a some minor sway and the expected pulling and tugging a trailer will do when you don't have any sway bars, etc. My next step is to buy a Hensley Hitch to eliminate any sway problems. I was pleased with the way the Tundra pulled the trailer, and especially pleased with how well it stopped within a very short distance. My wife loves the interior of the 25C, which has a corner bed and rear corner bathroom, dinette and L-shaped sofa. Ironically, the 25C had a microwave, while the 28 foot didn't. My wife has allergies and likes the fact that the 25C did not have carpets, only hardwood floors. It also has pull shades and no curtains, which helps with allergies. She thinks it will be easy to clean. We're excited about our new A/S trailer and can't wait to take it out for our first camping trip.
