The smells that can develop in a travel trailer are not from the fabric on the walls, although I'm sure that contribute. Trailers should not smell, period. But many do, and the causes are innumerable:
poor cleaning
rodent droppings
floor rot
excess moisture leading to mildew
pets
smoking
etc.
Deodorizers are fine but too often they are covering up problems. I've found the best way to combat smells in a trailer is to use it a lot. If you use it, you'll be discouraging rodents, aware when water leaks occur (and thus positioned to stop them!), and hopefully cleaning it more often. When it is stored, make sure it can breathe a little and definitely be sure it stays DRY inside.
Good luck!
