Sharon have you tried resetting the detector? Is there a button to press and hold? Otherwise perhaps it is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

Replace Battery? Like the smoke detector? Remember?

Isn't the LP detector hot wired to the house battery? It might just be dusty. If the house battery is discharged a certain amount the detector will act up. zz

Okay - sorry just catching up with my question.

Yes I have pressed the reset button each time and it does go to green.

House Battery should be fully charged up as we have her plugged in and AC indicator tester says we got power tee hee...

Now for an internal battery did not there is one??? Will check that.

Also dust yes that could be an element that I have not considered - but then HOW on earth do I find which lead is it - or I guess I could just vacuum the whole lot. Have no idea how to get in behind the main fuse bus board under the dinette - the front 12v is fairly easy by removing the storage bins and sprawling on floor with vacuum - just exactly my most favorite past time

If no dust and no internal battery issue - any other suggestions - or should I just contact Atwood?

NO WAY!!! - that alarm would be going off 24/7 with my two girls!!

That is a tough one to believe though cause it is going off when no one is in the trailer these past few days...unless I have a herd of mice in there now... hope not - that time of year they are coming in for food and breeding YUCK!!!!

Off to get this sorted out with Atwood....

ModPod & ThanksGiving....

We were at it again last weekend...tripped up just a couple hours north to Lake St. Peter Provincial Park with Annie and Marvin for Thanksgiving weekend.

Thought I would intro this with a bit of an indian art flavour

First on the block is the ancient version of the Inuksuk - which is quite controversial - I had no idea. Interesting reading on Wikipedia.

Marvin and I (okay mostly Marvin) created a beautiful okay maybe an average Inuksuk. Straying from the traditional Male we selecting a Female image sporting a bit of a bad hair doo.... stubs for legs and no arms. I don't think she will do much good at pointing anyone anywhere never mind steer the beaver or any other animal to a new location.

ModPods first "fire spirit" A shapely figure with robust lines...STOP the presses.... wrong photo ROFL!!!!

Although not in focus I thought it would be nice to post this shot. Being in the height of the spirit walkers season and in the middle of the Silver Birch Forest - what a cool looking figurine on top of figurine from the fire reflection...almost looks like a fire dancer.

Okay the above picture of the "class clown" holding a time tested replica of a 1400's field hockey stick - or would that be a club was taken during a well deserved paddling break while we had a lovely picnic lunch on the shores of Airy Lake at the Southern tip of Algonquin park.

Happy Swimmer - must have been chilly but our girls don't care - they wanted their year end swim and they had the perfect sunny weather for it. I was amazed at the weather and they got 3 different swims in

So what is it with Airstreams and Food???????
Annie and Marvin arrived late Thursday afternoon with Costalotta - she is almost finished now and look gorgeous (for a painted lady snicker - Annie don't hit me please!) The best of all was she was sporting all new awnings from their recent trip to Chicago earlier in the week.

What an impressive Rig! And even more of an impression was Annie broke the Rivette wannabe barrier and towed her nice Rig for the first time from the Camp all the way to Bancroft - BRAVO Annie I knew you could do it! - Now we can officially host a Canadian Rivette Rally.

They have their system down pat like seasoned Airstreamers - while Peter and I still have a huge communication gap going on (consisting of Don;t tell me what to do!) and proceed to almost break off the rear stabilizer arms while hooking up to leave....humble pie is best served with a grateful kiss of appreciation) You see I did not want any help I said I got her there I will get her back home - all by myself.

So where was I...

Saturday was a day to just hang out - Peter needed down time from his busy week - only fair since I already had mine. So I took some time to re-org and tidy the trailer.

No WAIT is that what I think it is????

Annie and Marvin celebrated Marvin's Birthday and visited with their parents who made the trip up for the special day. We joined in for the Birthday Cake after lunch.

Actually not knowing it was Marvin's Birthday it was a perfect opportunity to do the "camping improv thing" and scramble around to find a suitable token and make a B-Day Card. Marvin has a thing about "Canadian Insects" he hates them - but with his new hobby of Canoeing he will have to get prepared for the spring and summer months - I remembered that I had tossed in a brand new Mosquito hat that folds into a little bag - Perfect - next I used the Green Post it note pad that was part of a care package from Lou and Larry. With only a black marker - I managed to draw out a lake scene with Marvin in the canoe with bugs all around tee hee....

But for the REAL reasons...

Souris River Canoe!!!!

The whole weekend was building up for the Canoe Renting! Marvin has had his eye on a Souris River for almost a year now and we finally got to rent one to see what it was like...

So we put her to the test...We rented a Blue Water that was also supposed to be very light so we wanted something as a comparison - there was NO comparison - the Souris River is an outstanding canoe! At the end of the Day Peter and I took her for a paddle for the sunset.

Yes that would be THE KING FISHER practicing his royal wave!

Travel for the Scenery...

We could virtually travel for the rest of our lives and not make it out of our own province for sure.

Dometic Recall!

Yo' Sharon - I just got TWO recall notices for dometic refrigerators. Since I no longer have TWO Airstreams... guess what? I think it's time for you to take you A/S to a dealer who can fix the reefer on recall.

You might also want to check with Dometic giving them the serial number before you take the trip. My local dealer asked me for my whole serial number before scheduling the appointment.

Paula

is that the little piece of paper I was supposed to send in? Re warranty.

I do believe the recalls are all double door recalls have not seen any single - unless of course the little light went on and some Dometic person actually tried to sleep in a trailer with one of those little fridge fans running and said H**l no this has go to go

I will send that off this week and get it done.

Just finished winterizing today egads, I know, where has the time gone?

But I will tell you I think that pink stuff is nothing other than GIN!!!! it sure smells like, it almost tempted me to taste it

I have taken everything out now that them there little critters might fancy for making nests with - although there is no sign of anything yet. Might set a few traps just in case - but then that means there would be the smell of food in there where as right now only mice that might have a hankering for a bit of a nosh up might venture in.

Was a bit sad - wish I had the idea sooner - seemed like the shortest summer on record for me - I guess it really was as I do recall now spending most of it in bed - then a wake up call and whirl wind to get me a new AS, then you my dear and then some awesome trips and now winterizing phew what a trip that was....

What have you been up to there Girl?

Just in case - this thread looses its purpose....

A nice reminder...

Written of course for Peter!!! - sometimes you just never know if they will be with you from one day to the next! - so I dedicate this song to all those Airstreamers who are in love and like their Kiss Goodbye!!!

One Kiss

One Kiss

Just give me one kiss to keep for me
Just give me one touch to remember
Just give me one embrace to set me free
La la la la la

Will you move mountains if you dare
Will you spread oceans if you care
Will you light up the sky for me
La la la la la

Where is this elation going
Where is the safety hiding
Where is the movie playing
Will you be able to tell me

All I want is just one kiss
Can you see it through to give me one
Can you let me have just one kiss
All I want is one kiss before you go

All I want is just one kiss
Don't you go before my kiss
All I want is one kiss

First para - self explanatory

Move mountains if you dare - grandiose notion of there is nothing we can not do together
Spread Oceans if you care - The O-mighty God will spread his ocean to keep us in Love.
Light up the sky for me - Light up and fill my heart with love every day....

Elation going - where is our great happiness and exhilaration going? - to what heights?
Safety hiding - an abstract of knowing how safe we are for eternity
Movie playing - representative of our life playing out

Never leave without a Kiss Goodbye... and never let them leave without a Kiss...

Sorry I broke the above link to One Kiss ... as ever the perfectionist ! - that was tecnically CRAP! (maybe the voice too - but can't be that hard on myself as I have too much fun playing with sounds)

.....so here is take 2 and a new link....

One Kiss
