2003 CCD International

Hi Folks, looking at purchasing a 2003 CCD, International, 22 ft in length. Asking price is $28,000. from a dealer. The previous owner is upgrading to a larger model. What should I be looking for when I see it to help me make a reasonable offer? I am able to make a large down payment. Anyone know about and can make comment on the solar panel option? Thanks, Henry.

Your new Airstream

Welcome to the A/S obsession.Your adventure is just beginning!!
You didn't mention if it's an Airstream dealer your planning to buy from, if it is go over the entire rig with them and make darn sure all systems are working as they should. Finding a good dealer is one of the most important quests we all hope for!!If it's not, better start looking for one ASAP.The pre-delivery inspection is the most important item on the agenda, take notes you can refer to should a question arise later. Has the previous owner done any one of a kind alterations? If so check them out carefully! This Forum is an excellent source of some very good information about all kinds of A/S concerns, good luck in your new endeavor. Keep us posted, and ask a lot of questions

Airstream factory solar is normally 50 watts. I had the AS dealer install an after-market 85 watt solar panel. Works fine boondocking and has never failed to recharge my two batteries. But as I recall, the 22 has only one stock battery. Others know for sure.
