Introductions are in order!

My name is Mark and if all goes well, this Saturday I will be the proud owner of a 1985 Limited...in stellar condition! Prepare to answer all those questions you've already answered a hundred times. I wasn't around for the original meetings and missed all the memo! Please be patient and gentle with me... I'm crossing over to the shiny side from the pop up world. Hello, ya'll from Glenville, Ny...

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. You've found the right place for all things Airstream.

Congrats on your new baby. Pictures are the cost of membership, lots of pictures.

Wow, that is a beaut. This will be a big step up from a PU. Make sure you get out in the early spring and late fall when it is cold. You will really like the new trailer then!

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome and congratulations on your new Excella.

We have an 84 Excella 500 that we have not used in a few years, but I am hoping to use it some this year to do some family beach camping at the outer banks of North Carolina. We miss the full size dedicated bed, the large 2 door refrigerator, the large shower with a seat and the large awning.

Not a whole lot of difference between what you have and a new one except for about 80k I'd say. Good luck with it.

Mark

Sorry, I meant Limited.

Our Excella spent the first 12 years of its life in New York.

Welcome to the world of shiny happy people!

BTW, outside pictures are not quite good enough. We lubs those interior shots...even more~!

31' seems like a train to me. It's funny how four feet can make such a difference, at least to this newbie, who is still intimidated by her 27 footer (somewhat).

Before you put hardwood flooring down, make sure you thoroughly check the perimeter of your subfloor. This era of Airstream had OSB subfloors & they turned into mush as soon as water hit them. I'd hate to see you have to tear up nice new flooring in order to repair rotten subfloor.
Thanks,
Colin
