Looking at 2001 30' with S/O

I'm looking at a 2001 30' with S/O. Wath should I look for? I'v herd some have taken there coachs back to the factory for an upgraded seal. What is that all about and what the price of that. How much of a problem is the slide out. Any thing else on a 2001 I should know?

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

One thing that you need to remember with an Airstream slide-out unit is that it adds quite a bit of weight for the meager 12 inches that you gain. You are going to have to tow an extra 1000# over a similar non slide -out unit. Since the SO is forward of the axles, it also adds significant tongue weight.
