Just picked it up today! Pictures are up, check it out.

I kept promising to post the pictures, so they're finally up and you can all see what we bought. We haven't cleaned it or done anything other than bring it home, put it in the driveway and take some pictures. All of the outside pictures were taken by the PO. It's cold and snowy here so we'll wait to try out the awnings for ourselves.

After looking it over again, we love it even more than we did the first time we saw it!

Wow, and it came with a cute, small dog too. Mine came with two dogs, but then it's 31ft long so I guess that length comes with two and the 27ft comes with just the one.

Ours came with 2 dogs, too. The other had already staked his claim to the mid-ship bed and therefore wasn't in the picture.

Check all the exterior gaskets. If they are original, they should for most part leak.

Especially check the sewer vent pipe cover gaskets, as they are only good for about 3 years.

Lastly, check the axles out, which you can do in 30 seconds.

Wow!!!

Great looking trailer! Nice interior. Does everything work? What did you guys end up paying for it? How well did it clean up? Were there any issues? Loads of questions, but you still did great! Happy Trails, Ed

No, not everything works. There is one 12 volt outlet that doesn't work back by the TV. Two of the tambour doors need some work. One of the vista windows needs sealed. That's all the issues we know of right now.

We paid $6500.

We haven't cleaned it yet, so we don't know.

Smile Nice Coach - Vintage To Boot

Jason and Andrea,
I just finished checking out your pictures. You folks done good.

You don't have to wait until spring to start camping. Get it set up in the back yard or driveway and spend a weekend in it. That way when you discover something that you want or need in the trailer you can make a list or grab it from the house. It is better to discover you need something while it is parked at home than if it is parked hundreds of miles away. Besides it will give you an opportunity to exercise and familiarize yourself all the coach's systems.

Plus driveway camping can be just as fun as hauling it somewhere. Just think of all the gas you'll be saving.

Looks great

Very nice with a lot up upgrades, awnings all around, front rock guard, new carrier AC, drapes, and what looks like wood floors. The overall condition of this Airstream is great and its rare to find an older unit in this good of condition. The PO took very good care of it. I know you will enjoy it.

Larry and I do lots of driveway camping! We are just north of Ashland by 40 min. or sw of Cleveland by about 30 min. in beautiful downtown LaGrange, OH. We invite you to come and driveway camp in our courtesy parking area. Full hookups too. My DH, Larry, is experienced in all kinds of little repairs and lighting stoves, furnaces, plumbing etc. We would love to have you come and try it out here when spring finally springs! Or sooner if you are brave! We look forward to you joining in our Ohio group for a rally too. There are a bunch of us spread acrossed the state that had a great time visiting with each other last year! Welcome!!!
Lou

Driveway camping

Jason,
Larry put in an extra big driveway on the side of the house. It was originally built to hold his semi-tractor and flatbed trailer. It has a very nice firm gravel surface...level and smooth. Heavy duty and wide driveway. Since we have lots of friends stopping by to camp with us here,Larry made provisions for electricity, dump, water and we even have wi-fi. Find a warm day or two and come see us! You are always welcome.
Roger and Mary Lou, we are looking forward to the first rally too!!!

Yeah, and that square thing on the counter is a CRT television -- rare as hens' teeth. Jason, looks real nice!

Check with the PO -- how long did they own it? Do they know if the furnace ever was replaced? See http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427...call-2889.html and http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427...ues-38013.html and http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427...mes-36882.html.

I trust my new furnace completely but I don't trust my knees. It pays not to give too much credit to anything almost 40 years old (I wish... . I said 'almost'!).

Congrats!
