I'm So Happy

I just got confirmation of a deal I've been working on for a few days now.
I saw this on craig's list earlier this month and it was also here on the interesting finds thread.
It's a 1961 Sovereign 30 ft California built, only 38 built in CA that year. The build date is 11/60 which makes it exactly as old as I am. Now all I need to do is find a 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible as a tow vehicle and I'll have my dream set up for vintage tv and tt.
Frank of Frank's Trailer Works in Baltimore is going to get it from North Carolina on Thursday and he should have it back at his shop by Friday.
I can't work on two at the same time so Frank will be doing the full monte on it for me.

first stop: truck wash
second stop: Ace hardware for Decon
Third stop: FTW

I am actually very excited for this unit to come to FTW. I have never seen a unit with so many jalousie windows before. I am a huge fan of the jalousie window. This girl has been sitting for a long time in the woods. I wonder if Chris will allow me to talk him into a second door

Decon? is that decontamination?
FTW I hope that stands for Frank's Trailer Works and not for what else it can stand for.

Sandy #2 is gone I sold it to someone locally. I actually bought it for a forum member in Scotland who wanted to export it there. Once I got it back here he gave me a song and dance about not being ready for it yet so I sold it.
BTW that member is back with a new screen name and talking the same talk. I know better now than to believe anyone and won't make that mistake again.

Oh...that is not good. I am thinking it is too bad people can't be honest but I guess I should know better. So this is #2 Airstream for you and that is good. It looks like quite a project. I know you will do a great job with it as you have done so far on your other AS.

When I mention getting a second AS my husband says "And don't bother coming home then....." It is always an adventure I say.

Sandy actually I won't be doing this one myself. I can't do two projects and run this business as well. I have entrusted it to Frank(62overlander) of Frank's Trailer Works in Baltimore.

Lance I can't wait to see what it looks like once it gets a little bit cleaned up and Frank has some time to start on it.

Daniel yeah I would love to do this for a business, who knows if I ever sell the campground I might just do that.

Actually I was thinking of F THE WORLD. It is a common phrase here amongst punk rockers etc.

Wow! That trailer will have a lot of great cross ventilation with all those louvers! I too have never seen one with all those Jalousies... that's fantastic... well... fantastically dirty. I can almost smell it from here!
Can't wait to read about this recovery Frank! (I DO really love reading about these in your blog).
Marc
