So if all Chris`have a little pirate in them and given your navel background does that make you the skipper of the SS Minno(Minnow).
Do you have any plans for a three hour tour. I have a couple of girls here named Ginger and Marrianne looking to charter a boat.

More Polishing
Just a few shots of todays results. It`s coming along nicely but the shop is getting very dirty. It would be much better if I could do this outside but it`s too cold her for that. BTW don`t pet your white dog after polishing, he won`t be white for long. Rocky is a Dalmation(white with black spots), now he looks black with white spots. I need to order more polishing wheels and larger ones than the ones I got. You burn through them pretty quickly doing trim and edges plus rakeing out the used poilsh takes it`s toll on them as well.

And Even More Polishing
Aage I was hopeing for 2011 model. Well I might get there yet.
So did some more polishing last night and today. This is just the first cut. I`ve got two more cuts to do with this compouding material and then a final buff with the cyclo and the Nuvite S. I`m done until Friday. We`ve got a big storm coming in on Tuesday and Wednesday so I`ll be busy plowing snow both here and for Mom at her house. That`s good anyway it`ll give my arms and neck a chance to recooperate and maybe I can get cleaned up. I look like one of those aliens from Area 51 all grey skinned. Even when I get washed up I look like someone punched me in both eyes. This stuff gets everywhere

Pretty impressive, Chris!! I'll be starting next month and now I know what Betty should look like.
I bought a pair of coveralls to wear while I'm polishing. Hopefully I can keep all the mess on the outside of my clothes...
We're getting the beginning of the snow storm that is heading your way. Supposed to have up to sixteen inches by Wed. So far it isn't the heavy wet stuff and not much wind. The snowblower will get a work out the next couple days though.

Lew It will still get through. If you can stand it tape the sleeves shut. I had two shirts on, a tee and a quilted winter lumberjack thing. It went through both layers. Doug (Shacksman) got some painter`s hoods and his SO sewed them on to cheap tees,he wears a mask and goggles too. He still gets dirty. I figure I`ll just throw out the clothes when I`m done.

Well, WC, now you've gone and done it!!! Opened one of the most highly controversial and hotly debated topics ever to occur on these, or any other forums… Ginger or Mary Ann???? Talk about a can of worms. Wives and girl friends everywhere are now going to be asking their spouses or boy friends, so, who would you pick to be stranded on a deserted island with? At least you had enough presence of mind to pick the correct girl!
But really, comparing the Skipper and Gilligan to pirates? Captain Jack Sparrow – now there’s a pirate for ya. Daring, dashing, (or it is dashing & daring?), and under it all, basically a gentleman of sorts and an absolutely great runner (we love to watch him run across the beach in the movies).
And while Minno and Minnow are close, I do have to confess that I could never be a skipper as that requires some amount of navigation skills, which without multi million dollars worth of GPS, radar, and computer equipment to tell me where I’m at and where I’m heading, I’d be just as lost as the Skipper, and in probably a lot less than 3 hours. Something to do with my being a computer technician, and also my being able to accurately identify 3, and only 3, constellations. There's a reason why they never asked me to plot a course for the ship... Well, multiple reasons when you come right down to it.
BTW - for me, the correct answer is Kay.
On a more serious note, the polishing looks great!

Sal, to answer your question (which I think was a serious question): Ginger or Mary Ann is a reference to Gilligan's Island. A 1960's TV sitcom. Do a google search for it. I was amazed to find a fan club web site, which is very active after all these years.
Growing up in the late 60's, that was a on-going debate among teenage boys. Who's hotter, Ginger or Mary Ann?

Thats just what I was wondering. Probably Maryann. Wish I was Gilligan or the skipper. Maybe the professo, but not Mr. Howell.

Minno your answer is KAY you chicken you.
My newest order of larger polishing wheels arrived today and I went to a local auto supply store and bought 3 disposable overalls with built in hoods and a box of disposable mechanics gloves. Hopefully I won't be so dirty this weekend. Tomorrow it's back to 4 days of polishing, that is after I dig out the shop from the blast of snow we got on Wednesday. Somewhere between 1 ft to 1.5 ft of new snow fell beteewn Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning. It just about overwhelmed my riding mower with snowblower attachment. Hopefully the backhoe will start on Friday and I can get the shop dug out and start polishing again. More pics to follow of the polishing and my CSI decontamination suit.

WC, remember I said you had picked the right girl, so that should tell you who I picked in my youth. Chicken? That answer got me a hug and kiss, so not so dumb an answer...
Can't wait to see the CSI suit!

Hey MC I guess your right. You married your Maryann. Lucky dog.
So after spending a few hours this afternoon to plow out the parking lot and driveway I can now get into the shop.
Donned my new bio-hazard suit and started polishing again. After a couple of hours I got the top curbside front end cap done. The suit does help keep clothing clean and the mask makes breathing easier. I ditched the goggles, they kept fogging up and I couldn't see. Disposable gloves tear very easy so have to be careful grabbing the wheel rake.
I will be going back out after to start curbside in front of the door. My goal is to get past the entry door tonight.
The new bigger wheels do make it go faster but it's a lot harder to control and really heavy on the arms. I think I'll look like popeye once I'm done.

Nice suit! Doubles as Canadian camouflage! We got about that much snow last night. (If you piled up all the snow in the county!)

Hey, Chris. Nice suit!! Looks like it will make a difference. The polish is looking good, too.
We had about the same amount of snow that you had, and some pretty strong winds.
Keep up the posts and the pics.

Ginger's a wuss. Can't cook, can't sew, can't bushwack, definitely can't rivet an A.S. Probably couldn't handle a power tool if her life depended on it! I'll take being called a MaryAnn a compliment any day - thanks WC! (although I don't look like her anymore). And, yes, my husband's a smart man. And I'm a lucky woman.

My wife was a Maryann years a go. But I still wonder what Ginger COULD do.
PS DW never reads this.
