Greetings all! I have been monitoring this forum for a while, picking up bits of valuable information while searching for my first Airstream. I finally found it in Pensacola, Florida. I live in the Houston area and had no problem traveling the 500 plus miles to haul it back. I have a 2010 Ford F250 diesel, so no problems there. I bought the trailer from a gentleman formlerly known as the Region 6 President of WBCCI.
(He bought an Airstream Motorhome) I think he just got promoted to third VP in WBCCI. I am not exactly sure of all the details, being a newcomer, but I figured, "Who knows Airstream better that this guy?" He and his wife have been dragging Airstreams around the US for 42 years. I love this thing! It's a 1997 Excella 34'. It has factory hydraulic disc brakes. I have hauled lots of trailers in my time, (cargo, motorcycle, etc) but nothing like this. It is truly a dream to pull. I know I have much to learn, and am looking very much forward to it.
