30' 70th Anniversary Edition Weight

I blew all four tires on my new 30' Anniversary Edition trailer in the first six months. It is a 2001 but I am the first owner. The tires that were on were "C" rated and I have replaced them with "D" rated tires (still Goodyear). I suspect the weight of the trailer is not as shown on closet door. Airstream says the GCWR is 9100 pounds and the empty weight is 8,165. I have had the trailer and my car weighted together at 16,200 pounds. Now I am going to try and weight just the car. If I substract the car from the 16,200 it should give me the trailer weight. I am not sure what to do about the tounge weight of the trailer. I think I also substract it. Am I right? 4 flat tires

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear that you are having such a blow out. You're right. What you want to determine is the load carried by the trailer tires. So you will need to determine the tongue weight and subtract that, as well as the weight of your tow vehicle from the total gross weight. Hope the load range Ds solve your problem.
