outside lights
i have been replaceing bulbs on my 91 29ft excella and of course most of the bulbs have rusted and broken and the fixtures aswell.
now i need to find a few of the fixtures (porch light step light and the two on ether side of the door) is this somthing i will need to go to A/S for. Or should i change them and possible have to due some cutting on the body?
Now for a gripe i removed a couple of the fixtures, first i could not just be unpluged due to ether the plug was ether to far up the back side of the wall or they are hard wired straight to the light fixture. and now the problem is when i go to replace them it's going to be a bear due to the limited amount of slack in the wires. last but not least the made in taiwan sticker on the cheap pot metal fixtures. i would think the price that these airstreams are bringing new or used they would have been put together with a little higher quality parts and they would engineer these things knowing the will need to be worked on and parts replaced.
dont get me wrong i love my airstream i just have a few complaints

Check out Vintage Trailer Supply Lighting Section
Osolow,
You might be able to find exact replacments in the exterior lighting section at Vintage Trailer Supply. As for no "play" in the wires, I would suggest cutting them as close the the old fixtures and maybe splicing a length that will get you the "play" you desire.
I too had many busted / cut knuckles while trying to replace my exterior light fixtures on my '87 .

Back To Vintage Trailer Supply
Osolow,
The round 4" porch light can be had at Vintage trailer supply too here...
Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!
As for the step light, you may need to get that from an AS dealer. Have you considered re-plating the exisiting fixtures???
You may also want to look at a local auto / truck supply shop for your lighting needs. They are all pretty much standard light fixtures. I was able to get marker / clearance and the 4" porch light locally which saved me a few bucks in shipping and the actual cost of the lights.
As for quality, I think they are all bout the same, not very good .

Found Step Light
Osolow,
I have the same step light on my '06 so I ran down to the field where I have it stored and there is a label inside the fixture identifying the manufacturer as JRV Products and it is a model T67. Hopefully that will help you in your quest to find a replacment.

lights found
i found the lights i was looking for today at a local RV salvage yard (Colaw) its out side Carthage Mo. they had every thing i was needing plus some. i also got to see what airstreams they had there. they had about 20 or so A/S they all looked pretty well picked throw, but there might be some good body parts or other odds and ends some one might need.

I was reading through old posts and ran across this one that referred to the T67 porch or compartment light. It is the same model that I have on our 1987 Avion 34W to provide light at the hitch area, the porch light, and a utility light near the water/sewer/electrical connections.
Here is a place to get those lights:
Porch Light
or here
Porch Light, Model T67, With Clear Lense, P-1327
If you need just the lens, both places have those, also.

Here's the cheapest price I've found so far for this same fixture (Fasteners Unlimited P-1327):
Fastners P-1327 Porch/Compartment Light

Replacement for porch light
My 1990 has the Command Electronics porch light on each side of the door, part 13806 that needs replacing. This part has been discontinued and no longer available. Have not measured the distance between screws, but would a Command Electronics item 328-007-60W be a replacement?
