1990 Excella 1000

I am searching, but not using the right set of words or something I would bet.

My 1990 Excella 34' has "Excella 1000" on the back of it.

While I have the original sales brochure, and I also have the very extensive owners manual for it (which is really impressive to me), I am curious what the "1000" means.

I understand from some reading that it was an optional trim package?

Can someone lead me to a good thread about it or just pass on what they know?

Thanks in advance,

John

Hi John,
I have a 1991 Excella 1000 34ft trailer and I to have the original sales brochure and owners manual. I don`t have the sales brochure in front of me but as I recall it is an option package that included upgraded wooden miniblinds, brass knobs/handles on cabinets, two zip dee chairs, and the emblems for the exterior. I may have missed something since I am at work and don`t have the info. in front of me but that is what I remember. Hope this helps. Davis

That would make sense, as our trailer has the chairs and compartment for them, and also very nice blinds and fixtures on all the cabinetry.

It helps a great deal, thanks.

Hi Davis and John,

I has always wondered what the distinction was, since I only have an Excella. I just thought it was twice as good as an Excella 500.

Hi John,
Well I kept wondering if I had left something out and I did. So when I got home I went to the trailer and looked at the brochure and it states : Excella 1000 pkg, Exterior 1000 casting,Entrance mat,Tamarack level,Screen door guard, wood blinds (lounge and dinette),two zip dee chairs,Limited clock,Alarm clock,High riser faucet,13,500 btu A/C w/ Heat strip and electronic controls, bedroom valances, decorative throw pillows (lounge and bedroom),upgraded fabric. This info is in a 1991 brochure.

I think someone told me that the knobs and handles for the cabinets were upgraded but that is not stated here in the brochure. Davis

We have an Excella 500 and I always wondered what that meant, after seeing a 1000 on the highway a while back. Now I know, thanks!

It doesn't matter for ours, anyway -- it was a deer camp for years before we got it, and we gutted it. Nothing was useful (it was TRASHED) except for a few lighting fixtures, and we will probably use those for the new Argosy (I *knew* they would come in handy!).
