introduction

I am new to this whole Airstream community and forum, apparently (after a gentle on line chiding)I am to introduce myself. We are from Roanoke va and recently purchased a 1998 Safari widebody, which I think we will really enjoy. The major issue is one of the top brackets for the awning is broken. After ordering a part from dometico, we found it to be wrong. Any help about fixing it would be appreciated. We are off to the beach in 10 days and would love to have a working awning. Thak you

Dlipps I believe i may have welcomed you.

If that was me it should have said. "Now that you've introduced yourself" not "Not that you've introduced yourselves"

Spell check gets us sometimes and I'm sure plenty will respond as that's a beautiful area to visit.

Enjoy

Welcome to the Airstream community, and welcome to your first repair project! There will be others. And for me, that is some of the fun of having an Airstream. I'm sure the awning manufacturer or local awning dealer will have the part you need.

I'll bet someone will chime in and be of significantly more help than me.

Enjoy your first adventure in your new Airstream when the time comes.
