It is very comfortable. The weather is beginning to warm up and we should be able to work on it this weekend. I really think the convertability of the space is what will make it feel roomier and be more versatile and be more interesting. The front and back is very private from the other space and will provide additional living space by going with the twin configuration. There is lots of storage, inside and outside. And the bathroom is very large with the inclusion of the two closets. I also like the wooden pocket doors. I literally jumped up and down, I was so excited. LOL

Carol, looks to me like you bought a really nice trailer. I know you will enjoy it. As you have pointed out, there doesn't seem to be a large number of this floor plan out there. Maybe you should start another sub-forum.

Congrats!!!

Great looking trailer Carol. Are you going to driveway camp in it this weekend?

Any chance we might get to see it in person at the Can Opener in 2011?

What a great outpouring of well wishes. Thank you everyone!

We have had fantastic weather and spent the weekend outside and in the Airstream.

Brad has put on the bracket and the spare tire. I have been finding and disposing of mouse nests and setting traps. There are a few leaks discovered from Brad's power washing that we will need to find points of entry. One spot is either the window or the awning bracket we think. Another is the front wrap. The radio display light isn't lighting behind the LCD readout but works nicely with great sound. And other than that there are a couple of shade strings, everything looks in super shape, like new. The tag is still on the Zip Dees.

One unusual thing is the rock guard over the rear bedroom emergency exit window. The sticker warns not to have that covered with a rock guard so we have to decide whether to remove it or to get in the habit of unlatching it except for travel.

The more time I spend in the Airstream the more I love it. I am very very pleased with it and hoping we will be able to take wonderful trips together! And hopefully meet many of you down the road. Can Opener 2011, that would be loverly!!!

Glad things have worked out for you with your new trailer. Hoping to see you and Brad down the road. Enjoy your first trip this spring (and all others).

BTW, you can get a device for checking roofing seams at a commercial roofing supplier. The device is basically an awl that has the tip bent at a 90 degree angle so Brad can make one using a bench vise and heavy hammer. You slide the tip along the seam to find gaps in the sealant. If you have a commercial roofing company near you, ask for a "hooker". That is really what it is referred to in the trade. Otherwise, it is called a seam probe.

Congrats on your newest baby! I have to admit, I wasn't quite sure where the dining table was located, so I searched out another 28' Classic that had previously sold from Colonial. Lots and lots of room to stretch our your legs (and I assume lots of room for the "kids" to stretch out on the comfy floor).

Cheers

That's a great looking trailer, Carol. For finding the leaks, maybe you could contact Steve (soldiermedic), he has a leak testing machine. IIRC, he lives in Missouri, so it would be a great excuse to take the trailer on a trip--and meet some fellow forums members in the process.
