Brake actuators - 2005 Classic

We bought a 2005 30' classic equipped with disc brakes the end of March. We have already had to have two brake actuators replaced. Has anyone else experienced any problems?

Thanks

Unhappy One time!

We have used the Kodiak disc brake system with the Actibrake® electric/hydraulic actuator for about 1 1/2 years now on our shop trailer. The only problem that we’ve experienced thus far was a malfunction in the Actibrake about 3 months ago. It was returned, fixed for free, and sent back to us for re-installation, free of charge , it took about 3 days total. They said the circuit board had developed a short thus – no charge. Our experience has been very positive!

Additionally, we use this trailer 5-6 days per week 8 hours a day. That could equal a lot of camping trips.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Henry

wow scott that's not cool

i purchased a 34 with the disc brakes in april. towed about 8-9 thousand miles now without any issues. haven't even adjusted the brake controller since the initial setup. the brakes have been great. i'm having warranty work on other items next week at jc so i plan to have them inspect the brakes and hubs and rotate the tires while there.

tell us more about your problems...what were the symptoms....how did you know there were problems....what sort of tv brake controller do you have (i have read that some will kill the circuit board).....

please share with us what ever other info about your setup and usage and problems with the discs so that we others can be on the watch.

while some might think this short thread should be part of the vague "quality" threads for the 05 year....i really dislike those long, rambling threads when sorting through specific issues....like disc brakes...so mods please don't move this topic there.....

cheers
