1971 Airstream Sovereign

I have a 1971 Sovereign and am having trouble with th black water valve. Our local RV dealer cannot find a replacement for the leaky one we have and is wanting several K to replace the entire tank and new valves. Can anyone out there help with a source of older replacement parts

I have a 72 Overlander, that most likely has the same valve as yours. Mine was leaking, so I found a Thetford Valve Kit at a local RV place. Mind you, it was an old kit they had laying around that worked for my valve. It was a Thetford Part # 03827 Valve Repair Package. I paid around $30 for it if I remember. The valve (on my trailer) came out without too much of a fight and I rebuilt it on my work bench. I won't say it is an easy job, but... you know the alternatives.

I'm paying this tip forward, as fellow Overlander owner TCWilliams got me the part number. This forum is a life saver!
