Had to post a couple pictures of the newest member of the family. It's a 2003 25' Classic with a queen bed.
History - The original owners purchased the trailer on May 31, 2004 from Manteca Trailer & Camper in Manteca, Ca. Subsequently I purchased it from them on August 22, 2005. They are a 70 year old couple that used it a few times and decided it just wasn't for them. Needless to say the trailer is in excellent condition and even has 9 months of the original factory warranty remaining!
The long, long drive - The trip to purchase the unit involved a drive from Austin, TX to Stockton, CA, approximately 3,500 miles round trip (most people would consider a drive this far to purchase a trailer absolutley nuts - but I'm sure some of you understand).

Located the trailer online. Only looked at a few. This one was such a good deal I had to move fast. The owners were "EXTREMELY" motivated to sell. Not to mention a buddy of mine (Gunnyusmc) happened to be in California at the time and volunteered to drive 800 miles round trip to look at it before I committed to the 3,500 mile drive and purchase. The first thing he said when he called me was "If you don't buy it I'm going to".
I still have the other trailer - but I hate to think of it as a wreck.
The insurance company and I should finalize our agreement tomorrow. I'll let you all know how that goes on the other thread once it's confirmed.
Already took the first trip. My wife, son & I took it to a campground called Koyote Ranch right outside of Kerrville, TX over labor day weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves and I can't say enough good things about the campground. Nestled right between Kerrville and Medina, TX smack dab in the hill country.
Wow, that's a good ending to your quest. But you realize if the insurance settlement works out you could be a two-Airstream family! I really admire your restoration and hope it's worth restoring again.
If I were you after your rear-ender, I would do the LED taillight conversion. No way anyone behind can fail to see those bright lights. I converted mine because I have long been fearful that the incandescants were not bright enough to jog someone behind out of their fog.

After seeing the totally blank zombie faces of the idiots plowing down the road with their cellphones glued to their ears...I seriously doubt that even a nuclear flash would catch their attention. We had a truck rear ended the other day...they were in the right lane running at the speed limit, the other car was running at least 20 over and ran into them...the excuse..."they must have pulled out in front of me"...
