On the Sprinter forum someone had the same problem after the fuse replacement was done. Vehicle had to be reprogrammed, whatever that means. Warranty. Jim

The New York Times has a contest - inventing a new word with a new definition by replacing only ONE letter of the old word.

My favorite "Ignoranus" for someone who is stupid AND an A**hole.

I agree "PROtagonist" does keep us all entertained and sees the sunny side of the situation.

Many is the time I would fit that definition... Or one half or the other. Hope I didn't come across that way with my comment.

I was thinking the exact same thing with a couple circles added for clarification.

Got a call yesterday afternoon saying it was ready, but too late for me to make the drive and get there before they closed. I've made arrangements with my boss to take off this afternoon to go and fetch it, so that I don't have to deal with Baton Rouge rush-hour traffic while towing my car back homeó it's great to have a toad so I can drive myself to the dealer and tow the car home from there instead of having to hustle up a ride to a dealer 66 miles away!

As to whether it's really fixed, time will tell. I thought it was really fixed last time, too, so I'm prepared to be cynical until I have clear proof.

If it's fixed, next bit of work will be my own, removing all of the accordion-fold blinds (since I broke one anyway) and replacing them with thermal-barrier curtains on spring-loaded rods. For the rear, one long rod all the way across inside the rear screen door, and for the side windows (except the sliding door window) one rod per window. They're not really curtains, they're valence panels, but just the right size to fit my van's windows.

But that's a topic for another threadÖ

Curtain is a good idea. I carry a spool of shade cord for the existing pleated shades. Getting adept at restringing them now...that's a bad sign.

I like the curtain idea, Protag.

Be sure to post pics on that. We have the accordion pleated ones, which are fine, (I have never had to restring mine, must be doing something wrong) but can't really be cleaned.

My main problem with the blinds is that they do nothing to keep out heat in the summer, or keep in heat in the winter.

I have found them adequate for heat/cold, although we have never had an issue with inadequat cooling.

The key to staying warm when it is cold is something warm and insulating on your feet, like wool slipper socks from LLBean

If your feet are toasty, the rest will follow.

We went to Lowes or you can go to Home Depot. We bought a roll of Reflex which is pleated aluminum foil with air bubbles like packaging material between the silver. Cut pieces for every window in our Class B AI and my wife then sewed a binding around the edges. When we arrive we unroll them from the one closet and put up the curtains and slide them into place and then lower the curtains.

Cost was maybe 15 bucks or so and her time. Now we hope once we get the new Roadtrek in a few weeks that they will fit those windows, otherwise we either modify these or make new ones.
