Window washer indicator

My washer fluid indicator came on so I filled up the container and the warning light is still on.
Is there something special I need to do to reset part from filling the tank ?
Cheers
Colin

Far as I know, just refill, start the engine, let it run for a minute or two, turn off the engine, and start the engine again. That should cause the message display to reset itself.

I filled it on friday then drove 150 miles roundtrip , multiple stops and starts.
The lamp is still on.
I did a search on the sprinter forum and maybe disconnecting the leads to the sensor/pump then reconnecting may solve the problem.
I will try this tomorrow.

I hate to ask a stupid question but... Is it possible that you could have filled the wrong tank?

That could be expensive.

I didn't know that it had a low level indicator on it. I usually just top off the reservoir before each trip. Need to RTFM some more.

This is one tank that the dealer did not top off when we bought it. The low washer fluid warning came on during our 3000 miles maiden voyage. Bought a gallon jug, figuring that we'd have half a gallon to bring home with us. It was took a full gallon to fill it up. That was convenient! Low fluid light was off upon first restart - a 2012 MB chassis.

I unplugged to the connector and started the engine, indicator was not on any longer (obviously)
I re-connected and it came back on. The reservoir is full it's not a big deal I'll see if it goes out on it's own sometime on the road

It sounds like you need the Click and Clack solution: a piece of black electrical tape over the light!

If you have an OBDII reader that can reset codes, you might try that. Every message that pops up on the dashboard display is accompanied by an OBDII code that can be manually reset.
