Where to source Interstate parts?

This is perhaps a long shot, but does anyone know of any non-Airstream sources for Interstate parts, general sources, especially used parts?

For example if an owner wrecked an Interstate, one would think its mortal remains might be treated like any other wrecked vehicle in which someone would scoop it up and re-sell the remaining serviceable components. But it becomes a special communications challenge in hooking up buyers and sellers because Interstates are so rare.

The reason I'm asking is that I would like to buy the horizontal window trim piece for the 2007 Interstate's sliding door, but Airstream doesn't split the windows down into components - furthermore the "Need new windows" thread indicates that its original supplier went out of business so there is nothing new available anyway. I suspect our trim was left off as a QC oversight in manufacturing because virgin Velcro is present on the frame but the trim piece is not - it's black trim on a black window frame and I think they just forgot it and then nobody noticed that the sliding door doesn't match the rear side windows as it is supposed to. This is exactly the kind of minor item I would search for in an automotive graveyard, if there were such a thing for Interstates...

Did you try CRLaurence (search on Google). They produce many of the windows for current Sprinter conversions, and I believe may have bought the original license to the windows of earlier Sprinter models. You'll probably have to call them for a specific trim part.

The original windows were made by Atwood. But CR Laurence bought them out, and still make the windows. Try this link… CRL Sprinter Van Windows

We have the old Creation windows. Creation closed in 2008 and their remaining stock was reportedly bought by Parkin. Parkin doesn't sell that part.

CR Laurence does make windows that would fit our vehicle, but they aren't the same configuration as was installed by Airstream.

Chatting with another T1N vintage Interstate owner on PM, we agree that sooner or later, we are going to have to find a junkyard sourcing option, if one exists. If it's not a trim piece that someone is missing, it will be something else. Perhaps by planting this thread here, we might connect with someone in the future who has Interstate parts to sell to eager buyers.
