Water Leak

Titus is sitting in the driveway with a slight nose-up orientation. Turned on the water pump and checked things out in preparation of upcoming usage. Hours later I saw some dripping from immediately in front of the road-side rear wheels. Water was dripping from the Sprinter body about a foot uphill of the wheels, and running down the channel at the bottom of the Airstream-added bottom panels. Pulled out the bottom drawer, removed the microwave, and removed the panel behind the tall skinny cabinet to gain access to (or at least visibility of) all the plumbing that was up-hill of the drip. Eventually found the leak at the back-side of the shore water hose fitting. The threaded connection on the back-side of the fitting/check valve was loose. Male 1/2" NPT on back of fitting/check valve. It is located behind the refrigerator but I could reach it without removing the refrigerator. Tightened it by hand (1/2 turn at most) and the leak stopped. Not sure what caused the loosening and leak after 5 years and 63,000 miles, but apparently it is something that should be checked occasionally. While in there I also checked all other threaded connections (back of outside shower valves, water pump connections). They were all tight.

Titus, I have the same model year coach, so I'll be checking this connection before taking off for our first adventure. Thanks for the head's-up and advice.

TITUS - Great you found it asap. At first, I didn't follow the relationship of shore water hose fitting to water pump being turned on? Did not understand how it could leak at shore water hose fitting if you were not connected to shore water. Duh! Finally realized it was the check valve . Sometimes my brain takes awhile to engage in the morning

Yep, it was at the back of the shore water fitting. From outside to inside: hose connection, check valve, then the NPT connection that leaked.
