Smile VW Vanagon Nostalgia

Our first camper back in about 1980 was a VW camper. It was the starting point for many a backpacking trip in the Pacific Northwest.

For those nostalgic for the olden days, VW has an updated version, alas, not destined for the USA.

Pretty cute & modern upgrade..

No room for solar on that roof. And it certainly wouldn't be suitable for the southern U.S. with our obscene heat - the roof would bake people like ants under a magnifying glass. The piece also doesn't say where and how the rig gets its power.

Hi

I think I would let them work the bugs out of that in Europe before I dumped money into it. There's lots of this and that in a camper design to debug.

I still have my Westfalia 1989 Vanagon pop up. Replaced it with my 22FB Sport.
Single owner, California car and low miles, but it is worth more than I paid for it new now, and going up all the time.

My wife and I just felt like we needed a bit more room, and of course the bathroom is a nice feature of the 22FB that the Westy did not have.
