Trays under seats

Ok before I re-invent the wheel has any one checked to see if the plastic trays under the newer side seats in a lounge model will fit in an older (2012) model

I did make inquiries about the trays and was told the cut-out sizes are now different. Was advised to check Walmart and other hardware stores for alternatives,

I store my spare electrical cords under the passenger-side one, and my spare hoses under the driver's side seat. The hoses and cords fit the space better without trays in the way, so I've never looked into finding trays that would fit.

I bought a couple transparent 32Qt. Sterilite® ClearView Latch™ Storage Totes from Target. Link below.
Sterilite® ClearView Latch™ Storage Tote - T... : Target

I just had to trim a little off the edge of totes to get it to fit on passenger side. But for the driver side I had to remove the seat and trim the plywood panel to get the tote to fit. I'll upload some pictures tomorrow.

I boxed in the area under the side seats w/ luan plywood and 1X2s. Nice storage for blankets, etc.

We keep extra water, beer and soda in one area and shoes in the other one. Easy to get to the shoes when you need to make a change. And the small vacuum we bought fits behind the lower cabinet door below the seat under the wardrobe.

Rear wheel storage cabinets

I couldn't get a photo of the storage trays I added under the rear side seats since I have the van configured to haul lumber at the moment. But here are some photos of the mods I made to the rear wheel storage cabinets to more than double their capacity. Basically I just moved the rear panel in these cabinets right next to the wheel wells. We use these areas to store most of our food because they stay cooler than the inside of the overhead cabinets. You can also see the under seat storage tray on passenger side in the photo with the Alaskan Amber six-pack

I added the rear under jump seats plastic trays from a 2014 to my 2013. Passenger side fit right in. Drivers side pre-existing cut out had to be enlarged by a little more than an inch in length IIRC.

Drivers side required removing the jump seat, measuring / marking the new cut out and enlarging with a jig saw, re-installing jump seat.

I ordered them from Colonial Airstream and they had Airstream drop ship the trays directly to my house. IIRC around $20 ea.

Part book shows number 203763 - Pan, Storage Side Facing Jump Seat

Boy, that makes my DIY shelves seem like a real bargain. Especially since I used leftover material.
