Trading post for Airstream Interstate items

This thread will contain items, equipment, and surplus parts that people wish to *give away* to fellow Interstate owners, in a pay-it-forward sense. We swap stuff anyway on this forum, but we tend to do it on a thread-by-thread basis and with PMs, etc. Better to have it organized a bit more, I think.

DO NOT POST ITEMS FOR SALE ON THIS THREAD. It's not allowable in this part of Air Forums - there's a separate area set aside for that. This thread is for freebies only - I think that will be OK with the Mods as there's no commercial activity involved.

I am in major housecleaning / downsizing mode right now and I wish to gift this OEM front curtain to a T1N Interstate owner who may be needing one. PM me if interested.

This fits the existing T1N headliner snaps but I do not foresee us ever using it again - I replaced it with a DIY snap-in-place gear loft for that area in our van, and I wouldn't ever give that up.

Preference given to someone who is missing their curtain and who wants to use one, but if no such owner comes forward, I'll mail it to whoever wants it.

If you post an item here and someone claims it, please post back that it's gone, as a courtesy.

Thanks.

OEM electrical converter cover for T1N Interstates, model years 2004-2007 (and possibly other Airstream products). Fits existing cabinetry opening. Free to a good home.

I had users on other van forums argue strenuously that I should NOT have replaced this propane tank with a new one (blog post here), and that this tank could easily be refurbished and recertified for use, that the fitting threads were not that bad, that the rust could be sanded out and the tank repainted.

OK, I'm now making it available free to anyone who wants to try for such a recertification (we've had a few people over the years question whether they could add a second propane tank to their Interstates).

No warranties. Recipient would assume all risks.

I have the original BIM (Battery Interface Manager) that I removed when I installed a Blue Sea manager in its place. Nothing wrong with this one, I just wanted the better unit.

Free. Pick it up near Austin or PayPal shipping cost. If someone wants it shipped, I'll stop by UPS or FedEx and get the cost.

I have a Tripp-lite 750 inverter/charger+remote that came in my 2011 that I replaced. Nothing wrong with it and it's just taking up space on a shelf. It's yours for shipping.

Hello Pahaska,

I just returned from a 3 week outing in my 2012 AI. Most everything went well with the exception of my BIM so I am interested in yours for possible replacement or spare parts. It will be a few weeks before I have a chance to work on this. Please let me know what the shipping cost is if your BIM is still available. I live in Connecticut.

Thanks
-Curt

If anyone has the original cockpit carpeted rug from a T1N Interstate, I would be interesting in buying and paying shipping. I need it to make a template so I can make a new rug. The original one from my AI had been removed.
Thanks,
Katy

It is yours. I'll stop by either FedEx or UPS today and find out what the shipping will be. I'll PM you with the shipping cost.

I thought someone would need that and I’ve been looking for mine. If I locate it, it’s yours.

You don't have a front curtain?! Shoot, PM me your address (my husband might have it already, but it's buried somewhere in his email stack).

Someone is welcome to have our old T1N Sprinter (MY 2006) water pump for the cost of shipping, if you want to take a chance on it.

It is not broken, but it has about 60,000 miles on it (I had it replaced preemptively). An intrepid soul might be able to take it somewhere and have a third-party do some kind of refurb (the "new" ones sold today are basically all refurbs IIRC). You'd have to get gaskets and the applicable connectors yourself.

Looking for Rear Suspension Bump Stops

If anyone installed rear Sumo Springs and no longer needs the original bump stops, let me know.

Mine is a 2015 3500 on a 2014 chassis. Not sure what other years are compatible.

Thanks!

Mark

Before anyone laughs at this, for those who dont know me - I am an OCD type engineer who iys a neat freak & organizes everything from my sock drawer, to my recycling items, to my dirty laundry. I even rinse all my recycling plastic.

This Dometic is slighy used, been powerwashed, and disinfected by bleach & Simple Green. It was not even dirty or smelly when I pulled it out since most use in it was grandson not being able to hold his bladder to the next rest stop. My grey water tank is probably stinkier than this toilet ever was. I planned on keeping it as a spare, inside the Dometic 321 box. But I will never want this plastic POT/POS again. Anyone want it, pick it up here in LV or my next trip to CA, UT, AZ, CO, or pay to have shipped to you

Already in the hands of a new owner of a used AI who did not get window covers with his purchase.

The convection microwave I removed from my 2014.5 is sitting in my workshop taking up space. It is free to any AI owner who will come and pick it up. It was working well when removed. This would be a good replacement for those who don't like the later drawer-type units.
