Happy New Year and thanks for the feedback.

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for the feedback. We've decided to go with the EXT. It seems the the overall consensus is the extra room is more important than the few times one might have a parking issue and we agree. Now all we have to do is find a 2013 or 14 at a good price.
Thanks to all again and have a great year!

Best wishes in your search. I mentioned earlier that we're having the same dilemma so I appreciate the thread you started and all the replies. The bathroom layout in the EXT and newer models is also better than the earlier models.

On my 2nd EXT and never had a problem parking. Sometimes I back in to the space with rear hanging over a curb int a median (careful there is some low hanging stuff so can't be any incline beyond the height of the curb). I've been on some two week trips and having room in the van for all gear, chairs, grill & tools made the extra room welcome.

Be aware of the GVW if you plan to tow. The EXT has lower tow capacity.

Welcome to the forums.
